Description
King Femud is the ruler of the Kingdom of Lese, a human realm constantly threatened by the overwhelming power of dragons. As a capable and responsible leader, his primary concern is the safety and prosperity of his people and his nation. In his role as king, he is decisive and thinks strategically, carefully weighing his options and using his kingdom's resources to their fullest potential to counter the dragon menace.
When news arrives of the destruction of the city of Donapierru by dragon forces, King Femud responds swiftly. He mobilizes troops and declares a state of emergency, demonstrating his readiness to defend his territory with appropriate force. His leadership is put to the ultimate test when he is confronted directly in his own capital of Celesviera by Ultimatia, a Dragon Monarch of the Winged Bloodline who manipulates time itself. Initially shocked by her presence within the city's protective barrier, he attempts to engage in negotiation, believing he can reason with her to prevent further bloodshed. However, Ultimatia's goal is not conquest but the systematic, painless annihilation of all humans, a mission she carries out with a twisted sense of compassion as the will of her Dragon God.
Realizing that diplomacy has failed and that his kingdom faces a one-sided massacre, King Femud decides on a desperate gamble. He activates his kingdom's ultimate defensive weapon, a powerful barrier known as the Solar Shield. This structure normally absorbs sunlight during the day and releases it at night to repel dragons and illuminate the capital. Using a special ring in his possession, King Femud can convert this defensive barrier into a lethal offensive attack, the Aurora Beam, which focuses all the stored solar energy into a single concentrated ray powerful enough to threaten even superior dragons.
Before he can complete the attack, he is betrayed and mortally wounded by one of his own trusted advisors, who reveals himself to be Borgius, a spy from the Winged Bloodline. Ultimatia, who disapproves of unnecessary cruelty, uses her time manipulation magic to repair his body. However, the memory of the pain and terror of his own death remains, psychologically breaking him. In this shattered state, he becomes utterly subservient to Ultimatia. He agrees to her proposal to cooperate in her plan, ordering his citizens to evacuate to the capital under the false promise of safety, thereby playing a key role in her scheme to gather the population for a "peaceful" end. His final act, one not of his own will, is to be forcibly controlled by Borgius to unleash the Aurora Beam on the protagonist, Ragna. The beam fails to hit its target, and King Femud ultimately perishes alongside the citizens of Celesviera.
