Description
Michael is a dragon hunter in the world of Ragna Crimson, a man who appears to be in his thirties with blonde hair and a short beard. He wears a bandana with a metal plate, a short jacket with armor on his right shoulder, an armor plate underneath, armored gloves, black pants, and lower leg armor. Before the events of the story, Michael and his crew survived the destruction of the city of Tortiere, which was annihilated by the Winged Bloodline third-rank dragon known as Disaster Thrower.

Michael is a proud hunter who does not lack decisiveness and understands his own limits. When his pride is wounded, he does not hesitate to strike back at the first opportunity. He carries a deep grudge against the dragon that destroyed Tortiere and initially requests that the powerful hunter Ragna and his mysterious companion Crimson kill Disaster Thrower on their behalf. However, as Crimson’s schemes unfold, Michael ultimately resolves to hunt the dragon himself, fulfilling his personal vendetta.

In terms of personality, Michael is a competent and experienced hunter who can easily keep up with lower-ranked dragons, though he recognizes that superior dragons are beyond his natural strength. He is not afraid of most dragons, but the overwhelming power of a superior dragon forces him to surrender at one point, only to be saved by Ragna. After witnessing Ragna’s silver aura and the power it provides, Michael becomes determined to acquire similar strength to avenge the people he lost. He is also deeply affected by guilt: he and his crew escaped the tornado of Disaster Thrower while leaving others to die, a shame he confesses to Crimson in tears. Despite that guilt, Michael accepts the tools and weapons Crimson provides—advanced firearms and silver bullets enhanced by Ragna’s aura—even knowing that using them does not guarantee survival.

Michael’s role in the story is that of a supporting character who represents the plight of ordinary dragon hunters facing insurmountable threats. He leads a small band of hunters and works with Ragna and Crimson to defeat Disaster Thrower using a clever trap that involves freezing the dragon's magic with silver-enhanced bullets and a bridge infused with Ragna’s aura. After the successful hunt, Crimson erases the hunters’ memory of his involvement, leaving them only remembering Ragna. Michael and his crew then travel to a safe refuge and later return to the Kingdom of Lese.

The key relationship for Michael is with Ragna, whom he respects as a savior and later as the "Reaper." He also interacts with Crimson, though Crimson’s memory alteration means Michael does not fully recall him. His bond with his own crew is strong; they fight together and die together.

Michael’s development is tragically cut short. After dropping off refugees, he and his crew are confronted by Woltekamui, a powerful dragon sent by Ultimatia to investigate Disaster Thrower’s death. Kamui kills all of them, but none of the hunters reveal who helped them. In his final breath, Michael warns Kamui that he will be hunted down by the Reaper—Ragna. This defiant last act demonstrates his unbroken resolve and loyalty even in death.

His notable abilities include being an experienced dragon hunter proficient with a silver sword and light armor. After receiving training from Crimson, he becomes skilled with advanced firearms, particularly a heavy machine gun, and uses silver bullets that can freeze the magic in a dragon’s attacks. His tactical knowledge and leadership allow his crew to play a key role in the defeat of Disaster Thrower.
