Description
Majorca Abbott is a mage and a member of the Silver Corps, an elite unit of dragon hunters. She is recognizable by her long bangs that cover her eyes, her distinctive freckles, and the tip of her left ear, which is missing. Although her facial features bear no resemblance to his, she is the younger sister of Fu, a skilled thaumaturge and fellow member of the Silver Corps. Fu keeps their relationship a secret, but Majorca herself is fully aware of the truth.
Four years before the main story begins, Majorca came to the attention of the authorities as a suspicious individual who was stalking Starlia Reze, a powerful and charismatic leader known as the Silverware Princess. Majorca was eventually captured by Starlia herself, an event that led to her joining Starlia's organization rather than facing punishment. Following her recruitment, Majorca became the self-appointed president of the unofficial Society for the Admiration of the Silverware Princess, a group of dedicated fans. Her fervent adoration for Starlia is a central aspect of her personality, and she remains passionately devoted to her.
Majorca's loyalty and motivations are almost entirely focused on Starlia. This devotion takes a sharp turn when Starlia develops a romantic interest in Ragna, the protagonist. Majorca begins to view Ragna as a rival and an enemy, a sentiment she acts upon when she orders members of her fan club to confront and fight him during a mission to infuse weapons with silver energy.
Her role in the story is primarily tied to her abilities as a mage, specifically her possession of a powerful teleportation magic. Magical inscriptions for spatial transition are engraved onto her body. This ability becomes critical when the cunning strategist Crimson attempts to steal her teleportation spell for his own purposes. However, the magic is designed to protect itself; it activates automatically and forcibly transports Crimson out of the training grounds and far away from the battlefield. During the intense battle against the superior dragons Olto Zora and Taratectora, Majorca is instrumental in thwarting Crimson's plan. Rejecting Crimson's manipulation, she uses her teleportation magic to send him to an unknown location, despite suffering a severe gunshot wound in the process.
Following the major battle and subsequent events abroad, Majorca is sedated by her brother Fu. Along with other mages, she is handed over to the Sun Cult, an act likely meant to remove her from further danger or conflict. Her relationship with Fu is complex; while he keeps their sibling bond a secret and often speaks to her gruffly, he ultimately takes actions that seem aimed at protecting her.
