Description
Ann is a character from the Farming Life in Another World anime and manga series. She is a member of the Oni race, easily identified by the horns that are a feature of her people. Ann arrives in the main settlement of Taiju Village alongside the group brought by the character Flora during the fall of the fifth year in the village's history. Her primary role upon arrival is to serve as a maid, and she quickly becomes an essential part of the community by helping manage the growing household and domestic duties of the village leader, Hiraku. Her dedication to her work is high, and she performs her tasks with a professional and polite demeanor. She is often depicted working in the kitchen, preparing meals, and experimenting with new recipes according to the village head's directions.

In terms of personality, Ann is characterized as a very stoic and composed woman. She consistently maintains a professional and polite attitude in her daily interactions. However, this exterior hides a warmer side. Despite her calm and dutiful nature, she shares a common motivation with many other female residents of the village, which is the desire to have children with Hiraku. This aspect of her character emerges more privately, revealing a shy and earnest side when she expresses her intentions.

Her relationships within the village are central to her role. Her most significant relationship is with Hiraku Machio, the village head. She becomes one of his wives, specifically referred to as his fourth wife. She also plays a critical role in the birth of his first child, Alfred, as she helps deliver him and subsequently serves as his nanny, taking on responsibilities like bathing and feeding him. Another key relationship is with Lu Lucy, to whom Ann serves as a personal maid. Having tended to Lu for many years, she is familiar with all of her employer's habits, particularly the slobby ones that she strongly dislikes. This frustration eventually surfaces during a village tournament, where she openly vents her feelings about Lu's messy tendencies, leading to Lu being scolded by her grandfather.

Ann's development throughout the story is marked by her growing family. During an expedition to some hot springs, the group encounters a little girl named Ursa, who is the reincarnated former Ghost King. Ann takes on the responsibility of caring for the girl. However, as Ursa grows more attached to another character named Hakuren, Ann begins to feel lonely. Hiraku comforts her during this time, which leads to her becoming pregnant, a development that is joyfully celebrated by the other maids of the village. She gives birth to a son named Torain during the fall of the ninth year. The naming of their son is an event that involves consultation with powerful figures like the Demon King, Doosu, and Valgrief, who each propose a name before the final choice is decided by drawing lots.

Regarding notable abilities, Ann demonstrates competence beyond standard household management. While her primary function is as a head maid, she also possesses significant authority and physical capability. She is not merely a representative of the maids but acts as a leader with overwhelming force among her own people, the Oni nobles. Her strength is such that she can physically break up fights between other nobles that drag on for too long, subduing the participants with force when protests arise. In her role as a caregiver, she also shows practical skill in midwifery and childcare, as evidenced by her delivery and care of Alfred.
