Description
Haraol is a significant supporting character who begins as an antagonist before undergoing considerable change. He is an artificially awakened human, a soldier transformed by the Human King to gain immense power, which includes a pair of wings that grant him the ability to fly. Before this transformation, he was a soldier under a commander named Zell Zeon and was saved from being annihilated by monsters by a man named Cless. His early days as an awakened warrior are marked by a notably warlike and aggressive personality. He participated in a siege on a castle where he was defeated by the warrior Rubero, an event that left him feeling humiliated and vengeful. Later, during an assault in the southern region of the demon empire, he was defeated and taken prisoner by the Demon Lord Shin.

As a prisoner, Haraol is initially in a state of severe mental and emotional breakdown, consumed by fear and paranoia. When the demon officials Vamirio and Shin, along with the human hero Helck, visit him, Haraol screams in terror, believing the demons will harm him. He is visibly more comfortable when Helck approaches, but his fear quickly turns to anger as he accuses Helck of betraying humanity and blames him for humanity's problems, refusing to listen when Helck tries to explain that the demons are not the enemy the human empire claims they are. Haraol sobs about the day humans began to awaken across the empire, and Helck can only apologize to him, promising to overturn this horrible event.

A turning point for Haraol comes during an interaction with the demon Rococo, who brings him food. Using her mystical eye ability to bring out a person's honesty, she tells him that he did not truly want to kill her, which enrages him to the point of shouting at her until she leaves. After this encounter, he begins to reconsider his entrenched view of demons and decides to cooperate, providing them with vital information and asking them to end the war once and for all. Following his cooperation, his treatment improves significantly; his bonds are removed, and he is given a private room with furniture. He spends his free time learning to draw strange creatures from Rubero, the very warrior who once defeated him, after Rococo expresses an interest in art. By the end of the story, he has fully recovered and is shown blushing and unable to look directly at Rococo as she works on reconstruction, implying a close and caring relationship has developed between them.

In terms of abilities, Haraol possesses the standard powers of an awakened human, including a form of resurrection that returns him to the Human King upon death in battle to be summoned again. He wields a wooden staff to cast potent fire magic, launching large blue fireballs at his opponents. He also uses his wings for flight and levitation, and as an awakened warrior, he possesses enhanced physical attributes such as strength, reflexes, and durability.
