TV-Series
Description
Ista is a young woman of the demon race with the distinctive features of black cat ears, long black hair, and amber eyes. She serves as a spy and the trusted personal aide to Vamirio, the Red Heavenly King, a position she deeply cherishes. Her spy level is rated at 48, and she is the younger twin sister of Asta, another agent working for the empire.

In contrast to her more active and sometimes reckless older sister, Ista has a more cautious and reserved nature. She is portrayed as a clumsy individual who is easily frightened, prone to worry, and was known as a crybaby in her youth. This personality is complemented by a strong sense of compassion and a genuine discomfort at the sight of blood, a trait stemming from her childhood. Despite these seemingly fragile qualities, Ista possesses an immense inner strength. She is a remarkably hard worker who, through sheer effort and willpower, overcame low academic grades to achieve her position, with her willpower said to surpass even that of the formidable warrior Hyura. Her core motivation is the well-being of her older sister, Asta, whom she loves more than anything else. Her life-long dream has been to serve Vamirio, who saved her and her sister's village from a monster attack when they were children, an event that inspired both sisters to join the imperial military.

Within the story, Ista primarily operates as support staff from the demon capital. Her most vital function is her unique magical ability to establish limited telepathic communication with her sister, Asta. This connection activates whenever both sisters drink a warm beverage such as coffee or tea, allowing them to exchange crucial information across vast distances. This link is the primary method for relaying intelligence from Asta, who is undercover in the human world, back to the demon leadership. Although she is not on the front lines as often, Ista is a capable fighter. She wields dual daggers proficiently and has demonstrated notable power and skill, easily defeating multiple winged soldiers in combat.

Her key relationships define her role. Her devotion to her sister Asta is the central pillar of her character; much of her fear and worry stems from concern over the dangerous missions Asta undertakes. She also shares a close childhood friendship with Hyura, having grown up together. Her admiration for her master, Vamirio, is immense, and she works diligently to fulfill her duties as the Heavenly King's aide, often showing frustration with the laid-back personality of the Heavenly King Azudora when she is assigned to assist him.

Ista's development is shown through the contrast between her timid personality and her unwavering resolve. She experienced trouble finding things of interest in her youth, living in the shadow of her more passionate sister. However, her desire to protect her sister and serve her hero, Vamirio, pushed her to work harder than most. She barely passed her entrance exams for the Demon King Gwyn Castle Academy but achieved promotion through persistent effort, proving that her inner will is far stronger than her outward nervousness suggests. Over the course of events, while she remains a worrywart, she consistently rises to the occasion, using her intelligence and telepathic link to provide critical aid and facing dangerous situations to support her comrades. Her abilities thus lie not only in combat and infiltration but also in the courage to face her fears for the sake of those she loves.
