Description
Asaka Mutsuba is a central character in the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! who serves as the president of Mutsuba Heavy Machinery and the self-proclaimed de facto leader of Mutsuba Town. She is a slim, pale-skinned girl with mauve eyes and gray hair that reaches past her shoulders. Her primary outfit is an equestrian-style ensemble consisting of a short white coat with silver buttons, a white collared shirt with a red cravat, a gold brooch bearing the Mutsuba Heavy Machinery logo, a black waistcoat, white riding pants, white gloves, and black heeled boots. In the second season, she additionally wears a sailor school uniform featuring a white blouse with a blue collar secured by a red ribbon, a pleated blue skirt, and calf-length white socks with white shoes.

As the self-proclaimed top elite of Mutsuba Town, Asaka displays a highly arrogant and entitled personality, often making significant decisions on behalf of the town with little regard for consequences or opposition. Her considerable wealth frequently allows her to compensate those who voice objections to her actions. She is somewhat short-tempered and has little patience for riddles or long-winded explanations. Despite her arrogance, Asaka possesses a strong sense of honor and is capable of showing compassion to those she considers close friends. She harbors romantic feelings for Yuga Ohdo, though she chooses not to act on these feelings out of recognition for Yuna Goha's similar affection for him. Her personal philosophy centers on destruction and creation, a concept she refers to as scrap and build, which she considers the core principle of her family's business.

Asaka is first introduced when Tell Kawai visits her to report on a crisis involving the Earthdamar substance and the Rush Duel taking place atop Mutsuba Tower. Upon learning that the soul of Yuhi Ohdo had been drawn into Voidvelgr Requiem, she takes the massive heavy machine EX6 to Mutsuba Tower, easily withstands attacks from Zuwijo's servant Mitsuko Hiramori, and carves away a portion of the tower to extract the Earthdamar, successfully stopping the materialization of monsters. She later uses her Heavy Cavalry to catch Yuamu Ohdo when she falls from a stolen UTS spaceship. When learning about the impending arrival of the Great King of Terror and gaining access to a spaceship hidden beneath Mutsuba Town, Asaka takes control of the city and forces Velgearians inside Valvelgear to manually generate power for space flight, bringing her into conflict with Yuhi Ohdo.

In the second season, Asaka is banished to the Alien Residential Area by MIK due to her affiliation with aliens, remaining there for two years. After MIK incapacitates Yuna Goha, she organizes a resistance group and raids MIK headquarters to buy time for Yuamu and Yudias to infiltrate the Goha Company building. While her team successfully stalls the enemy forces, Asaka is ultimately defeated by Energy Copyko and turned into a card. Later, she participates in the final stage of the Galaxy Cup under the authority of the organizer and faces Tell Kawai as her first opponent, winning the duel. When attending Alien Middle School No. 8, she runs for student council president against Yuamu Ohdo, loses the duel but is offered the position anyway, accepting it gladly.

Asaka maintains several key relationships throughout the series. Tell Kawai serves as her subordinate and assistant, initially coming to her for help and later providing her with scientific knowledge from across the universe after she saved his life by giving him water. She has a complex dynamic with Yuna Goha, with whom she collaborates to create Fusion cards despite initial reluctance due to the complicated manufacturing process. Yuna also holds feelings for Yuga Ohdo, which Asaka recognizes and respects. Her relationship with Yuhi and Yuamu Ohdo evolves from initial conflict to eventual cooperation.

Asaka uses a Demolition Deck composed of FIRE Attribute Wyrm Type monsters, with a strategy that revolves around Normal Monsters. Her ace monsters possess powerful effects that destroy opponent's monsters and inflict damage for each monster destroyed, a strategy she supports with Equip Spell Cards. Her signature monsters include Demolition Dragon Blasthamut and its advanced forms such as Demolition Charge Dragon Dangerous Blasthamut and Demolition Meltdown Dragon Darkness Blasthamut. She also pilots a massive heavy machine called EX6, a giant bucket-wheel excavator that doubles as a giant Duel Disk, demonstrating her family's engineering capabilities.
