Description
Coco Zenibako is a character from the anime Chained Soldier, standing as one of the Humanoid Shuuki residing in the Hidden Village. Her transformation into this state occurred after she was trapped within the alternate dimension known as Mato and consumed a Peach, which caused her to mutate and gain extraordinary abilities. Prior to this change, she was a fragile young woman who enjoyed helping others, a core trait that persisted after her mutation, though her loyalty became primarily directed toward her fellow Humanoid Shuuki. In her current form, she is a petite individual with a youthful, teenage appearance characterized by red eyes and green hair cut to neck length, along with a single horn on the left side of her head and distinctive black markings beneath her eyes.

Her personality is notably bubbly, lively, and possesses a childlike quality. She often acts impulsively, as seen when she openly called out her own name during an encounter, inadvertently revealing her identity. Coco is deeply caring and protective of her allies, showing particular concern for her companions Naon and Aoba, toward whom she acts almost as a younger sister. She is known to become visibly irritated at signs of harm on her friends, such as the scars on Naon's body, and will immediately attempt to heal any injuries they sustain using her powers. Her Edo-like personality makes her both responsible and fiercely angry toward the Anti-Demon Corps and other organizations that hurt her fellow Humanoid Shuuki.

Within the story, Coco functions as a key supporting member of Aoba Wakura's group. She plays a role in the plan to retrieve Aoba's brother, Yuuki, where she disguises herself as a human disaster victim to ambush members of the 7th Unit. After Yuuki is brought to the Hidden Village, she heals his wounds by licking his body, demonstrating her unique curative method. Her primary combat abilities stem from her Peach Blessing, which allows her to control her own bodily fluids. She can secrete a slippery slime from her skin that coats her body, making her nearly invulnerable to physical blows and grapples, as attacks simply slide off her. However, this defense has a notable weakness, as it is largely ineffective against sharp, slashing attacks from bladed weapons. Her saliva possesses potent healing properties; by licking a wound, she can rapidly accelerate its regeneration and close it, making her an invaluable support unit for her team. She names this ability Koko Juice.

Beyond her unique Peach Blessing, Coco possesses immense physical prowess as a Humanoid Shuuki. Her strength, speed, vitality, and regenerative capabilities are far above those of an average human or standard Anti-Demon Corps member. She is capable of creating craters in the ground with a single punch and can recover almost instantly from devastating impacts, such as being crushed by a giant boulder. Her fighting style is aggressive and instinct-driven, relying on powerful but somewhat unrefined techniques. She employs attacks like the Coco Punch, a single devastating blow strong enough to send an opponent flying, and the Coco Rumble, a rapid barrage of punches. Because she and her fellow Humanoid Shuuki lack the formal military training of the Magic Defense Corps, her movements are considered rough and wasteful compared to a trained fighter's.

Coco shares a deep bond with her two closest friends, Aoba and Naon. The trio operates as a close-knit unit, with Coco often treated as the youngest sister figure among them. She is intensely loyal to Aoba, viewing her as a reliable leader, and she enjoys spending her time in the company of both her friends. Her development within the narrative includes a significant ordeal where she and Naon are captured by the powerful Eight Thunder Gods. They are devoured by one of the gods, Kuusetsu, and forced to serve as living batteries within its body, which results in Kuusetsu inheriting aspects of their appearances, personalities, and abilities. Coco is eventually rescued from this fate by Kyouka and Yuuki using a special technique and is reunited with Aoba and Naon in the Hidden Village, where she expresses her gratitude to Yuuki for saving her.
