Description
Mars, the fourth member of the Jupiter Sisters, serves as a divine guardian tasked with sealing escaped spirits from Old Hell. Bonded to her host, Yui Goidō, she embodies a fierce warrior spirit, marked by blunt speech, a brash attitude, and a tactical mind that urges constant preparedness—even insisting Yui arm herself in risky scenarios. Though battle-hardened, her loyalty drives her to seize control of Yui’s body during danger, triggering a striking transformation: golden braided hair, a white headband, crimson eyes, radiant wings, and a halo. A master of non-lethal fencing, she disarms foes with surgical precision, exemplified when shredding a Vintage operative’s attire without injury.

Her origins trace to the Jupiter Sisters’ ancient sealing of Old Hell, which left them dormant within humans until the seal’s rupture awakened her in Yui. Partnering with Keima Katsuragi to counter new threats, she grapples with human social nuances, persistently misgendering Yui and baffled by romance—yet supports Yui’s affection for Keima through clumsy tactics, like flaunting Yui’s physique to outrival other goddesses.

Key moments define her journey: awakening during Yui’s despair over Keima’s cross-dressing ruse, shielding him on a perilous staged date, and clashing humorously with her reunited sisters over his attention. Later, Vintage’s Lune gravely wounds her, leading to capture and eventual rescue, after which she aids in demolishing their base via combined magic. In a pivotal arc, she joins her sisters in weaving a spacetime spell to undo Vintage’s disruptions, hurling Keima temporally to reset events.

Her bond with Yui intertwines protection and playful friction, often jesting about Yui’s gender. Among her sisters, rivalry masks profound kinship, evident in their squabbles and collaborative gambits—like assigning Keima-guarding roles through rigged lotteries. Named for the Roman war deity, Mars balances divine duty with human quirks, wielding both blade and wit to navigate mortal complexities while guarding those she holds dear.
