Description
Auguste Zelm is a supporting character in the anime and light novel series I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss. He is a young man with rose red hair and purple eyes. In the context of the fictional otome game Regalia of Saints, Demons, and Maidens 2, which is central to the story's plot, Auguste holds the role of the main hero and is the first and most popular romanceable option for the game's protagonist.

Within the main narrative of the series, Auguste is a student at Misha Academy, where he serves as the vice-president of the student council. He takes his responsibilities at the academy seriously. Following the events of the story's second arc, he becomes a knight serving under Aileen Lauren d'Autriche, the series protagonist who is reincarnated as the villainess of the otome game. He is noted to be highly skilled with a sword, having qualified to enter the Knights Order even before graduating from the academy. His skill is such that he is acknowledged by the demon lord Claude as being adequate to serve as Aileen's personal knight guard.

In terms of personality, Auguste is depicted as an ally to Aileen, being among the first members of the student council to befriend her when she is in disguise. He defends her and quickly aligns himself with her cause. He agrees with Aileen's determination to protect others while maintaining the fragile truce between humans and demons. Notably, despite the sexist attitudes prevalent in the region of Mirchetta and among some of his fellow students, Auguste does not approve of viewing women as inferior to men.

Auguste's role in the story becomes more prominent during the second act. In the original game scenario, he is destined to be granted a holy sword to slay the demon Ashtarte. However, the altered timeline of the series presents a different path. He is involved in events at the imperial capital, where he is found fighting for demon incense alongside the game's intended heroine, Selena Gilbert. His key relationships are with Aileen, whom he serves as a loyal knight, and with Selena Gilbert, the heroine of the second game. Through his interactions with Aileen, he becomes an important supporting figure who respects her leadership and shares her vision for a peaceful coexistence between different races.
