TV-Series
Description
Entoma Vasilissa Zeta is a battle maid belonging to the Pleiades Six Stars, the elite combat maid squad tasked with protecting the ninth floor of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She was created by the Supreme Being known as Genjiro, one of the forty-one founders of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown, and as such, she holds her creator in the highest regard, showing him a degree of reverence that surpasses even her loyalty to the other guild members.
At a glance, Entoma appears as a young girl of modest stature, standing approximately 149 centimeters tall, with brown hair styled into twin chignons and dressed in a Japanese-style maid outfit that covers all of her body except for her face. This appearance, however, is a carefully maintained illusion. Her true form is that of an arachnoid, an insect-like heteromorphic being. Her face is actually a mask-like insect, her hair is formed from a mass of centipede-like appendages, and her base voice is harsh and grating, similar in tone to the Guardian Cocytus. Because she dislikes her natural voice, she uses a special lip bug that resides in her throat to mimic the voice of a stolen human victim, allowing her to sound like a cute girl. This bug can be destroyed in combat, and when she loses her fake voice, Entoma becomes extremely quiet and withdrawn.
In terms of personality, Entoma is defined by her predatory view of humans, whom she regards as a food source. Her favorite meal is the muscular arm of a man, although she is not particularly picky when she is hungry. She does not exhibit cruelty for its own sake; she will simply ignore humans if she is not hungry and they do not provoke her, treating them with the casual indifference of a predator that is not currently hunting. When not feasting on human flesh, she indulges in green biscuits or even ventures to the domain of the Area Guardian Kyouhukou to eat cockroaches, a habit that makes even her fellow NPCs uneasy. Despite her monstrous nature, she maintains a polite and somewhat formal demeanor, especially when in the presence of her master, Ainz Ooal Gown.
Entoma is utterly and fanatically loyal to the Supreme Beings, particularly Ainz, whom she serves without question. In the story, she accompanies Cocytus as an observer during the war against the Lizardmen, reporting the battle's outcome directly to Ainz. Her most significant role comes during the assault on the Kingdom, where she is deployed as one of Jaldabaoth's servants. During this mission, she engages in a fierce battle with the adamantite adventurer team Blue Rose. While she easily overpowers the warriors Gagaran and Tia, she is ultimately defeated by the magic caster Evileye, who exploits her insectoid nature with a specialized spell. On the verge of death, she is saved by the intervention of Demiurge.
This defeat is a pivotal event for her character. The battle results in the death of her lip bug (which housed her stolen "cute" voice) and a profound humiliation that fuels a deep, personal vendetta against Evileye. She seethes with barely concealed rage whenever she is in Evileye's presence, to the point that she has to struggle to maintain her usual calm composure even when following orders to perform. She later obtains a new voice by using a bug to steal the voice of the archeologist Arche, replacing the one she lost. Entoma has explicitly expressed her desire to Ainz to be granted the chance to fight Evileye again as a reward, a wish he has acknowledged.
Her key relationships are primarily with her fellow Pleiades, whom she views as sisters. She is particularly close to Narberal Gamma, who was programmed to be her older sister and enjoys giving her gifts of fresh human flesh. She shares a friendly, competitive relationship with Lupusregina Beta, and a shared hobby of eating humans with Solution Epsilon. Entoma has a notable respect for the Area Guardian Grant, whom she refers to as "Mother" or "Our Lady". Conversely, while she is one of the few inhabitants who visits Kyouhukou, the cockroach master is terrified of her, seeing her as a natural predator.
Entoma is a level 51 magic caster who specializes as a spirit-based magic user, with a playstyle that relies on summoning insects and using talismans. Her abilities and stats are relatively well-rounded, allowing her to perform both close combat and ranged support roles effectively. Her standard equipment includes several types of summoned insects that function as living weapons, such as the Blade Bug, which acts as a sword, and the Hard Armor Bug, which serves as an impenetrable shield. For ranged attacks, she employs a variety of magical talismans, including the Lightning Bird Talisman, the Explosive Talisman, and the Sharp Cutting Talisman. One of her most powerful summoned creatures is the Thousand Lash Bug, a massive, blade-fanged centipede longer than ten meters. Her innate arachnoid abilities include firing webs from her mouth, which can be either sticky for capture or razor-sharp for slashing, and a trump card ability called Breath of Fly, which releases a swarm of flies that lay flesh-eating maggots inside a victim, an ability she can only use three times per day. She also possesses enhanced senses due to her compound eyes and sensitive antennae, which alert her to movements in the air and effectively eliminate blind spots in combat.
