Investigations uncover Friedman's participation in illegal biotechnology experiments. These experiments create genetically engineered mutants with demonic traits, utilizing remnants of defeated Evil Gods, specifically a piece of the Demon Bone obtained after Ryu Hayabusa's victory.

Friedman's actions are coerced; Professor Bucky-Wise, the true mastermind, kidnaps Friedman's daughter Katherine to force his compliance in recreating the Evil Gods. This manipulation makes Friedman a pawn in a larger scheme to revive dark entities.
