Description
Cha Hae-In is a prominent figure in the world of hunters, recognized as the Vice-Guild Master of the Hunters Guild and one of South Korea's most powerful S-Rank hunters. She holds the distinction of being the only female S-Rank hunter in the country and is ranked as the 9th strongest overall. Despite her official ranking, her true combat prowess is considerable; an analysis by Sung Jin-Woo suggests she may be even stronger than her own guild master, Choi Jong-In. Her skill and potential are acknowledged by other top hunters, including the Japanese S-Rank hunter Goto Ryuji, who considered her one of the most valuable assets for the fourth Jeju Island Reclamation Raid.

In terms of personality, Cha Hae-In is characterized by a serious, calm, and meticulous demeanor. She demonstrates a deep sense of responsibility and care for the lives of others, which manifests in habits such as patrolling dungeon boss lairs after raids to ensure the safety of support teams composed of miners and haulers who cannot defend themselves. She is exceptionally diligent and hardworking, continuing to hone her swordsmanship through kendo lessons even after achieving S-Rank status, showing no bias against lower-ranked hunters like her instructor, the C-Rank hunter Song Chi-Yul, whom she continues to admire. Outside of her professional life, however, she is noted to be socially awkward, having few friends, and can become easily flustered or embarrassed in personal situations, such as when Sung Jin-Woo playfully teased her.

Her role in the story is significant as a powerful ally and the primary love interest of the protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo. Her unique sensitivity to mana, centered on her sense of smell, is a key trait; most high-ranked hunters and monsters emit a foul, repulsive odor to her, while ordinary humans smell neutral. Sung Jin-Woo is the sole exception, possessing a clean and pleasant scent, which initially sparks her curiosity and eventually develops into deep affection. This leads her to request membership in Jin-Woo's newly formed Ahjin Guild, and during the entrance test he devises, she openly confesses her feelings for him. Her loyalty and bravery are showcased in major battles, where she stands by Jin-Woo's side, notably during the Jeju Island Raid where she dealt the final blow to the Ant Queen before being seriously injured by the Ant King. Following the reset of the timeline, she eventually marries Sung Jin-Woo and becomes the mother of their son, Sung Suho.

Regarding her abilities, Cha Hae-In is a formidable fighter known for her graceful yet lethal swordsmanship. Her combat style is so fluid and elegant that she has earned the nickname The Dancer or Dancing Princess. Her notable techniques include the Blade Dance, a series of rapid sword attacks that resemble a dance, and the Blade of Light, where she materializes a solid sword made of pure light. Another skill is the Tremor of Provocation, where she stabs the ground to create a shockwave that disrupts and damages nearby enemies. Her unique sensory ability, Mana Smell, allows her to detect magical power, with her eyes glowing bright yellow when she utilizes this power. Her speed and power are substantial, as she was able to defeat Jin-Woo's powerful shadow soldier Igris in a duel and was considered by the Ant King to be the most dangerous of the Korean S-Rank hunters present on the battlefield.
