Description
Primas, whose Japanese name is Purimasu, is a supporting character in the anime Handyman Saitō in Another World. She is a fairy belonging to a type known as Black Crystal Fairies, which places her among the magical, non-human beings of the fantasy world. Her most prominent relationship is with the witch Lavella, whom she is described as being a close friend of.
In the story, Primas appears during the exploration of the Great Labyrinth, the kingdom's main dungeon. After Saitou's party finds a hidden passage leading to an unexplored region of the labyrinth, they enter a cave filled with artifacts from various eras and cultures of Earth. There, Primas and the assassin Kisurugi attack them. The party is saved by the arrival of Gibungle, whose intervention also uncovers his own past as a former student of the wizard Morlock. This confrontation establishes Primas as a hostile figure operating in the depths of the labyrinth and as a partner to Kisurugi in combat.
Her role in the narrative is therefore that of an antagonist encountered during the main party's dungeon adventures, and her close bond with Lavella ties her to a circle of magical characters in the series. Her individual history, personal goals, and the full extent of her abilities are not elaborated in the scenes in which she appears; she functions primarily as part of the opposition that the protagonists face during their exploration of the labyrinth.
