Description
Mikoto is a supporting character in the fourth season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? She originally belongs to the Takemikazuchi Familia but temporarily transfers to the Hestia Familia to help them in a War Game against the Apollo Familia. Hailing from the Far East, she became an orphan at a young age and was taken in by the gods Tsukuyomi and Takemikazuchi, who raised her in their orphanage. She later joined the Takemikazuchi Familia and moved to Orario two years before the main story to earn money for the shrine. She reaches Level 2 shortly before meeting Bell Cranel for the first time.

Mikoto’s personality is defined by a serious, honorable, and straightforward nature. She strongly dislikes underhanded tactics and is a poor liar, a trait that other characters note she shares with Bell. Despite her competence, she is deeply humble and often downplays her own contributions, becoming embarrassed when praised. She cares deeply for her friends and is fiercely loyal to them. One of her favorite pastimes is relaxing in hot springs, and she has a personal ritual for entering the water.

Her primary motivation is to support her friends and fulfill her duties as an adventurer. She also feels a strong sense of obligation to the Takemikazuchi Familia and intends to return to it after her temporary service with Hestia ends. In the fourth season, she joins the Hestia Familia’s expedition into the lower levels of the Dungeon, serving as a versatile all-rounder. Her role in the story is that of a reliable ally who contributes both in combat and in strategic support.

Key relationships include her bond with her god Takemikazuchi, who trained her and whom she respects deeply. She also has a close childhood friendship with Sanjouno Haruhime, whom she used to sneak out to play with when they were younger. Within the Hestia Familia, she develops camaraderie with Bell, Lili, Welf, and the others, and is often noted for her similar honest nature to Bell. Over the course of the series, she grows more comfortable working as part of a team and learns to rely on her comrades.

Mikoto is a highly skilled martial artist trained by Takemikazuchi. She is proficient in multiple fighting styles, including judo, which is effective against human opponents, and she wields a variety of weapons such as a katana, spears, axes, bows, and throwing weapons. She also has training in ninjutsu, though she prefers direct combat and only uses stealth and trickery when protecting loved ones. Her notable techniques include Mikazuchi, a powerful throwing maneuver, and Zekka, an advanced quick-draw sword strike. She possesses the magic Futsunomitama, which creates a dome-shaped gravity field that crushes an area, and two detection skills: Yatanokurogarasu, which locates enemies she has encountered before, and Yatanoshirogarasu, which locates her own familia members. She can perform concurrent chanting, allowing her to cast magic while moving or fighting. Her development ability is Abnormal Resistance, which protects her from poison and similar effects.
