Description
Dormul Bolster is a supporting character who appears in the fourth season of the anime series. He is a dwarf and a member of the Magni Familia, an arrangement that defines much of his identity as an adventurer operating within the dangerous labyrinths beneath the city.

In terms of physical appearance, Dormul is a young man with thin eyes and a notably large nose. Standing at 170 centimeters tall, he is considered tall for a dwarf, and he possesses a muscular, powerful build suitable for his combat role. He typically wears brown-colored armor and carries a pair of warhammers into battle, reflecting his straightforward and physical fighting style.

Dormul’s personality is marked by a gentle and kind-hearted nature, though he is also depicted as being somewhat clumsy. This softer side contrasts with his rugged, warrior-like exterior. A significant aspect of his personal history involves his time as an adventurer under the supervision of the guild advisor Eina Tulle. However, he eventually stopped being under her direct care, partly because he struggled to endure the strictness of her lessons. Despite this, he harbored romantic feelings for Eina, entering into an unspoken rivalry with the elf Luvis Lilix, another adventurer who also loved her. This rivalry was further complicated by their racial differences as a dwarf and an elf, leading to a persistent lack of mutual affection. Even after both were rejected by Eina, they continued to not get along. However, when true danger arises, Dormul has proven he can set aside their differences, such as when he came to Luvis’s aid during a monster attack in the dungeon.

His motivations are initially driven by his advancement as an adventurer and his personal feelings for Eina, which led to some misguided actions. According to more detailed accounts, his infatuation was exploited by his own patron god, leading him to behave like a stalker and inadvertently cause distress for Eina. This situation was eventually resolved when the protagonist Bell Cranel intervened and helped Dormul recognize the reality of his actions, after which he was compelled to give up his pursuit of Eina following her false claim of being in a relationship.

In the story of the fourth season, Dormul and his party are exploring the deeper floors of the Dungeon, specifically reaching at least the twenty-ninth floor. During this expedition, they encounter a powerful, intelligent enhanced monster known as the Moss Huge. This creature attacks his party with parasitic vines, leading to a dire struggle for survival. At this point, Dormul’s role intersects with the main plot, as he and his companions are found in a gravely injured state by Bell Cranel’s party. Despite his injuries from the ingrained parasitic vines, Dormul displays great endurance, still able to move and even carry his rival Luvis to safety.

Regarding his abilities, Dormul is a veteran adventurer who achieved Level 3 nearly three years before the events of the fourth season. As a Level 3, he possesses considerable physical strength, which is described as surpassing Bell Cranel’s own strength during their encounter. He also demonstrates high stamina and endurance. His primary equipment consists of his dual-wielded warhammers. In addition, he once possessed a powerful magical weapon, a hammer-shaped lightning magic sword. This weapon was formidable enough to render another Level 3 adventurer unconscious with a single strike. However, this magic sword was broken by Bell Cranel during their confrontation. Dormul undergoes some development, as he later appears to have matured enough to defy his own god’s orders, joining a coalition of familias to assist the Hestia Familia in a major battle, indicating a shift from his earlier, more selfish motivations toward a more cooperative and honorable path.
