Description
Gashita is a young man who serves as a supporting character. He is a native of Lux Village, where he worked as a D-rank adventurer. Before the protagonist Dariel arrived, Gashita was the only adventurer in the village, a position that led him to develop a somewhat inflated sense of his own importance and a tendency to act arrogantly.
Gashita's personality is straightforward and often childish. He can be rude and rough towards those he sees as opponents or rivals. However, once his trust is earned, he becomes extremely friendly, affectionate, and fiercely loyal, sometimes to a comical or excessive degree. This is most evident in his relationship with Dariel. Initially feeling jealous of Dariel's success, Gashita saw him as a rival and recklessly challenged a powerful monster known as the Blaze Death Scythe, a quest restricted to C-rank adventurers and above. He was swiftly defeated and had to be rescued by Dariel. This event was a turning point. After being saved, Gashita fully acknowledged Dariel's superior strength and began to admire him deeply, referring to him as big brother.
His motivations shift dramatically after this incident. Instead of trying to prove he is the best, Gashita becomes driven to improve himself through genuine hard work and dedication. He drops his initial jealousy and focuses on steady growth, both to become a better adventurer and to live up to the example set by the person he now admires. He works diligently to build a solid record of achievements.
In the story, Gashita acts as a local presence in Lux Village who initially contrasts with the more experienced Dariel. His early mistake and subsequent rescue serve to highlight Dariel's competence and kind nature. As Gashita grows, he becomes a reliable member of the village's adventuring community. His key relationships are primarily with Dariel, whom he follows with an almost zealous devotion, often proclaiming his big brother is the strongest even in the presence of far more powerful individuals. He also interacts with other villagers, such as Malika, and his protective and sometimes jealous feelings about Dariel lead to comedic moments, such as declaring he would date Dariel himself when a misunderstanding arises.
Gashita undergoes significant development. He transforms from a prideful, D-rank show-off into a humble, hardworking, and respected B-rank adventurer. He learns the value of not biting off more than one can chew and the importance of persistent effort. His growth is recognized when he earns a promotion to B-rank. Even in a subsequent defeat against a powerful opponent named Lady, during which he used a newly acquired mithril bow and arrows, he demonstrates his progress by earning a certain level of respect and acknowledgment from others.
His notable abilities include his skill with a bow, which he refines to the point of reaching B-rank. He is also shown to possess a surprising and entirely unrelated natural talent for drawing. He is able to create highly detailed, lifelike family portraits of Dariel and the others, showcasing an artistic skill far beyond what one might expect from a young adventurer. Physically, he has green hair and green eyes.
