Description
Rannin is a supporting Cocotama in Kira Kira Happy Hirake! Cocotama who belongs to the group of small spirits known as Cocotama, gods born from objects that people treasure. He is a red mouse Cocotama, and because he came into being from a pair of sneakers, he carries the title of the Sneakers God. Within the cast he is also called the Ninja Cocotama, a name that reflects both his playful ninja persona and the energetic, sporty quality of the footwear that gave him life.

Rannin has a very outgoing and cheerful temperament. He is active, energetic, and bright, and he tends to throw himself into situations with enthusiasm rather than hesitation. His ninja identity is more about spirited role-playing than secrecy, and he enjoys presenting himself as a skilled ninja. He is genuinely good at ninjutsu-style moves and techniques, although not everything he attempts works perfectly, and some of his skills fail from time to time. This combination of confidence and occasional clumsiness makes him a lively presence among the other Cocotama.

In the story, Rannin lives as part of the community in Cocotama Town. He is not among the first spirits introduced in the series, but as the story progresses he becomes a more regular and prominent member of the main group, eventually being featured alongside characters such as Ribbon, Pillow, Chaco, Ameri, and Nikki in the show's opening and in many of its central group activities. His role in the narrative is that of an active participant in the Cocotamas' everyday adventures and in the larger efforts to help the human characters and the town around them.

Rannin tends to interact most naturally with the other main Cocotama through shared activities and missions. He regularly joins group magic sessions, where the Cocotama combine their powers, and his own contribution to these spells has a distinctly ninja-themed chant. These joint spellcasting moments often place him alongside partners such as Pillow and Chaco, and he also appears in combinations with characters like Nachu, Ribbon, and Nikki, showing that he is well integrated into the wider circle of spirits.

His abilities center on ninja-like skills and agility, which suit his quick and lively personality. In addition to his physical techniques, he takes part in the combined magic that the group uses to solve problems, with his portion of the incantation reflecting his ninja character. Rannin's energetic nature and love of action motivate him to leap into challenges headfirst, and even when his tricks do not go exactly as planned, he remains a cheerful and dependable member of the Cocotama cast.
