TV-Series
Description
Hyou is a supporting character in Bakumatsu Crisis, easily recognized by her distinctive appearance. She has long lavender hair that reaches down to her waist, styled into high bunches on either side of her head and secured with large black bows. Her eyes are a notable orange color, and she has a very short stature. Her attire consists of a kimono fastened with a multi-colored orange and blue bow, worn over a dark undershirt.

In terms of personality, Hyou is generally friendly and cheerful. However, she has a notable aversion to graveyards, which visibly disturbs her. Her background is not extensively detailed, but she is closely associated with another character, Kasumi. The two are frequently seen together, and Hyou's role in the story is primarily defined by her actions alongside Kasumi and other main characters.

Hyou becomes directly involved in the central events of Bakumatsu Crisis from the very beginning. In the first episode, she and Kasumi discover a secret entrance hidden in the ceiling of a prison cell. This discovery allows them to free Shinsaku and Kogoro, two key characters who had been imprisoned and were facing execution. After facilitating their escape, Hyou meets up with Susumu, and the group takes refuge at Yoshinobu's house. Later, as the others discuss the effects of the mysterious Chronometer device, Hyou and Kasumi quietly contribute by preparing food for everyone.

As the crisis escalates in the second episode, Hyou and Kasumi are walking through a forest, discussing dried herring, when they encounter strange ghostly fires. Shortly after, the Chronometer creates a rift that brings a massive, burning temple through it, causing widespread fires across Kyoto. In response to this disaster, Hyou takes action by helping to evacuate citizens from the dangerous fires. Her role continues into the third episode, where she is seen fishing with Seimei and Kasumi when the Chronometer is detected once again.

Her key relationships are primarily with her close companion, Kasumi, as they are almost always seen working together. She also has significant interactions with the main protagonists Shinsaku and Kogoro, whom she helps rescue, as well as with Susumu and Yoshinobu, who provide them shelter.

Hyou does not have a dramatic character arc in the available information, but her development is shown through her increasing involvement in the crisis. She transitions from a supporting figure who helps with domestic tasks like preparing food to an active participant in the larger emergency, taking on the responsibility of helping to evacuate citizens during a city-wide disaster. Her notable abilities appear to be practical rather than combative, including a keen eye for discovering hidden details like the secret entrance in the prison and the resourcefulness to assist in civilian rescue efforts during a supernatural catastrophe.
