TV-Series
Description
Fushihara-san is an office employee notorious for her extreme work habits, laboring late into the night with persistent overtime, often until the early hours. Colleagues frequently delegate tasks to her, and she struggles to decline these requests. This relentless workload leaves minimal personal time, reduced primarily to work and brief sleep. Initially, profound isolation gripped her; she questioned the purpose of her demanding schedule and whether she was expendable. Her existence felt defined solely by labor, devoid of meaningful connections or satisfaction.

Her circumstances shifted upon encountering a small ghost child, Yūrei-chan, in her workplace. Concerned for Fushihara-san's well-being, the spirit repeatedly urged her to leave, employing unsettling messages and vocal demands. Instead of fear, Fushihara-san found the ghost's appearance and persistent efforts endearing. Actions like providing massages, blankets, or warm drinks during late nights fostered a bond. Yūrei-chan's visible worry, expressed through warnings like "You'll work yourself to death!", gradually softened Fushihara-san's resistance to rest. This relationship provided emotional solace, alleviating loneliness and offering companionship.

Fushihara-san possesses a strong inclination to help others, viewing mutual support as integral to the workplace, yet this trait often increases her workload as colleagues rely on her. Her initial apathy toward the job—marked by low pay, unrealistic deadlines, and abnormal hours—evolved as her bond with spirits deepened. She began recognizing value beyond professional duties, particularly in connections formed with supernatural beings like Yūrei-chan. This culminated in a sense of fulfillment; she acknowledged that without her job, she would never have met these entities or experienced their kindness. Consequently, she expressed no regret over her career path, finding unexpected happiness and purpose. Her development reflects a transition from isolated overwork to a life enriched by unconventional yet meaningful bonds.
