Description
Boskatsu is a central creature partner to the protagonist Katta Kirifuda in the Duel Masters Versus Revolution Final anime. He is a founding and leading member of Team Hamukatsu, a group of creature spirits that fight alongside Katta. Originating as a simple pet hamster, Boskatsu underwent a dramatic transformation when Katta removed the plaster on his forehead, an event that unlocked his latent potential. A mysterious entity named Katsudon appeared in Boskatsu’s dreams, providing him with a blank card frame and a mission to protect Katta. Following this, Boskatsu left his cage and orchestrated the transformation of his fellow hamster, Hamukatsu, by pushing him onto the blank card, thereby granting him the ability to speak and take on a creature form.
In his natural, animal state, Boskatsu is a hamster who is slightly larger than his companion Hamukatsu. He has brown fur, a distinctive V mark on his forehead, and an X-shaped marking on his belly. In this small form, he is often seen with a smoking pipe and carries building tools strapped to his waist. When he manifests as a creature card, Boskatsu grows significantly larger and sprouts a drill horn on his head, a tail, and a pair of wings. He wears a sleeveless jacket and fingerless knuckles, and the X on his belly becomes more prominent, resembling a scar. As he undergoes further training, Boskatsu gains upgraded forms, such as Bosskatsu Buster, No.2 Man, which features brighter colors and no wings, and later Bosskatsu Knuckle, where he dons a white jacket and wields a large blue mechanical gauntlet.
