Description
Neze Rankett was a member of the Astrea Familia, a former adventuring group that operated in the city of Orario. She was a werewolf girl with beige-colored hair, wolf ears and a tail, brown eyes, and tanned skin. Standing over 170 centimeters tall, she was the tallest member of her familia and projected a strong, reliable older-sister presence. Her athletic build and physical prowess were often compared to that of a wild animal.

Neze was a central figure within the Astrea Familia, widely recognized as a natural leader by her peers. Though the formal captaincy belonged to Alise Lovell and Kaguya, many members would have readily accepted Neze as a third captain. She was described as the “core” of the group, getting along with everyone and earning universal respect and trust. She took great pride in her original alias, Bloody Justice Fang, and strove to grow stronger so she would be worthy of it. When the goddess Astrea changed her alias, Neze was disappointed.

Neze joined the Astrea Familia roughly ten years before the main story. She and her comrades rose quickly in fame and power, enduring hardships together. By the age of eighteen, Neze had reached Level 4 after participating in the defeat of Alfia during the Great Feud. Two years later, she was killed by the Juggernaut that the Rudra Familia accidentally summoned.

Within the Astrea Familia, Neze was close to all her fellow members, particularly Alise, Kaguya, Lyra, and Ryuu Lion. Her natural charisma and leadership made her indispensable; she could step in for Alise or Lyra when either was unavailable. After her death, her loss was deeply felt, and her memory remained significant in the backstory of Ryuu Lion’s arc in the fourth season.

As a Level 4 adventurer, Neze possessed physical abilities far beyond those of lower-level adventurers. Her race as a werewolf granted her a Beastification skill that dramatically increased all her physical attributes under the light of the moon. Even as a Level 3, in her bestial state she was confident she would not lose to a high-Level 3 Kaguya, who was the familia's most skilled melee combatant. Neze also had enhanced senses that sharpened further with each rank-up, and she possessed a magic that released wind claws. Her leadership skills were exceptional, making her a reliable leader in the vanguard or as a tactician when necessary.
