TV-Series
Description
Grinde is a twenty-one-year-old male orc who works as a furniture craftsman. Despite his formidable and intimidating physique typical of an orc, he possesses a surprisingly shy, polite, and gentle nature, often displaying more common sense than his business partner, a demon named Fennel. A significant aspect of his personality is his desperate and open longing for a romantic partner. He is extremely inexperienced with women, and this insecurity leads to comedic situations. He also has a notable masochistic streak, once confessing a desire to be verbally abused by a beautiful woman.

Grinde comes from a large family of orc artisans. His father is also a furniture maker, and he has three younger siblings. His mother is a former knight who was defeated and subsequently "captured" by his father, a backstory that surprises those who hear it but which Grinde himself accepts with complete nonchalance.

He first becomes involved in the story as a friend and business associate of Fennel. When Fennel urgently requests his services, Grinde asks for a specific reward: to be introduced to a tall, strong-willed, long-haired elf beauty. Unable to refuse, Fennel introduces him to Viola, a human woman who meets all of Grinde's criteria except for being an elf. Grinde is immediately captivated not by Viola's appearance, but by her affectionate devotion to her mother, Alyssa. In turn, Viola appreciates Grinde's straightforward attitude and his candid, sincere compliments about her mother. This mutual respect forms the basis of a strong friendship. However, despite Grinde's romantic hopes, Viola clearly states that they will not become a couple, and their relationship remains platonic.

Throughout the series, Grinde does not undergo a dramatic personal transformation but serves as a recurring secondary character whose subplot revolves around his unfulfilled search for love. His interactions with Viola and her family highlight his earnest, albeit awkward, nature. His notable abilities lie not in combat but in his craftsmanship as a furniture maker, a skill that establishes his role in the community and his connection to the other characters.
