Description
Bogosse Trop Craquant Masqué, known in the original Japanese as Amai Mask, is the number one ranked hero in Class A of the Hero Association and holds the position of organizational advisor. He is also a popular celebrity who works as a musician, model, and film actor, making him the most famous and popular hero of all. In public, he presents himself as a calm, elegant, and confident young man with pale blue hair, always dressed in a relaxed and stylish manner. This charming and serene public persona, however, conceals a much darker and more complex personality.
Privately, Bogosse Trop Craquant Masqué is profoundly egocentric and believes himself to be stronger than many S-Class heroes, holding particular contempt for figures like Puri-Puri Prisoner, Superalloy Blackluster, and Atomic Samurai. His pride leads him to believe he should command the S-Class heroes, and he only respects King, considering him the sole S-Class hero worthy of his rank due to his courage and power. His sense of justice is extreme and ruthless, as he does not hesitate to execute defenseless monsters or even humans he considers enemies of justice, believing that evil does not deserve to remain alive. Demon Cyborg notes his obsession with his extremist view of justice, and his disgust for weakness extends to lower-class heroes, whom he despises dealing with. He is also afflicted with cacophobia, an intense fear of ugliness, which can completely paralyze him when facing grotesque foes like the monster Fuhrer Ugly, causing him to suffer severe nosebleeds and panic attacks.
Bogosse Trop Craquant Masqué is not a human; he is secretly a monster who disguises his true face from the entire world. When the villain Princess Super S discovered this secret, he killed her instantly in a fit of rage to silence her. His monstrous nature drives his ruthless behavior, such as being prepared to mercilessly kill brainwashed human mercenaries when no audience was present to witness it. Despite his violent and psychopathic tendencies, he harbors a deep admiration for the S-Class hero Blast, who once saved him. Remembering Blast's intervention helps him restrain his darker impulses and refrain from killing his fellow heroes during the assault on the Monster Association's underground base. Zombieman holds a degree of admiration for Bogosse Masqué's attempts to correct the perceived weaknesses of other heroes, though this does not prevent frequent arguments between them.
In terms of role and abilities, Bogosse Masqué deliberately remains in Class A to prevent what he sees as unworthy heroes from being promoted to S-Class. He is a formidable fighter, possessing combat skills that far exceed his ranking, and he was part of the surface team assaulting the Monster Association headquarters. His commitment to his celebrity image is such that he once preferred to finish a concert while dodging monsters rather than interrupt his performance for the sake of hero work. Early in his hero career, he wore a mask and was known as Mysterious Mask, but after revealing his handsome face, he was renamed Bogosse Masqué and achieved massive success in films. His development reveals a constant internal conflict between his monstrous instincts, his obsessive desire to protect his celebrity status, and the rare moments where his admiration for heroes like Blast tempers his darkest urges.
