TV-Series
Description
Aya Arisugawa is a seventeen-year-old high school girl who serves as a supporting character in the narrative. She is the elder daughter of the family that runs a local public bathhouse, a place frequently visited by the protagonist Nasa Yuzaki. Aya first met Nasa during their time as classmates in middle school, where she developed a deep and lasting affection for him. Her family has a somewhat difficult history, as her father left her mother for a younger woman, a past disappointment that her mother occasionally contrasts with Aya's own romantic troubles.

In terms of personality, Aya is generally cheerful, warm-hearted, and easygoing, possessing a gentle and calm demeanor that makes her popular among her peers. Despite this, she also displays a notably lazy streak, often skipping school to pursue her hobbies. She can be somewhat ditzy and is easily influenced by television programs, which sometimes leads her to come up with impulsive and slightly absurd requests, such as demanding a pond be built in her backyard after watching a show about landscaping. Aya is an honest person who, despite her personal heartbreak, strives to act with grace and support those she cares about.

The central motivation driving Aya's early actions is her unresolved romantic feelings for Nasa, which she kept secret for years due to a lack of courage to confess. Her primary role in the story begins when she discovers that Nasa has suddenly married Tsukasa Yuzaki. This revelation is a shock, as she had initially mistaken Tsukasa for Nasa's relative. While this discovery is painful for her, Aya ultimately decides not to dwell on her sorrow or become bitter. Instead, she chooses to sincerely congratulate the newlyweds and focus on moving forward with her own life. This decision marks a key aspect of her development, as she transforms from a girl pining over an old crush into a supportive friend.

A key relationship in her life is with her younger sister, Kaname Arisugawa, who is often more perceptive and sharper than Aya, easily seeing through her sister's attempts to hide her true feelings. Aya's most significant new relationship forms with Tsukasa Yuzaki. Initially skeptical about whether Tsukasa is worthy of being Nasa's wife, Aya challenges her to a series of video game battles. This rivalry over games becomes the foundation of a genuine friendship, and Aya eventually begins affectionately calling Tsukasa by the nickname Tsukachan. She also has a bickering, antagonistic relationship with Nasa's cousin, Ginga Onimaru, with whom she frequently argues.

Outside of school, Aya possesses a notable talent for video games, possessing a rapid learning curve that allows her to master new games quickly and compete at a high level. She has channeled this ability into a successful online persona, becoming a popular gaming streamer and YouTuber known by the nickname Ayapi. This online fame provides her with a sense of purpose and accomplishment outside of her unrequited feelings. Furthermore, Aya is a dedicated enthusiast of the sauna and has developed a remarkable resistance to high heat, earning her the humorous title of a heat wave master.
