Alpha is a central figure in the narrative, distinguished as the first member of the elite group known as the Seven Shadows and the de facto leader of the clandestine organization Shadow Garden. She is an elf with a strikingly noble and beautiful appearance, characterized by her long golden-blonde hair and blue eyes. Her features bear a strong resemblance to her ancestor, the legendary Elf Hero Olivier, as well as to the renowned warrior Beatrix.

Her background is rooted in tragedy and salvation. Alpha was once a victim of a condition known as Demon Possession, which grotesquely deformed her body and caused it to deteriorate. While being transported by the church, she was captured by bandits and taken to an abandoned village. It was there that a young Cid Kagenou, disguised as the Stylish Bandit Slayer, annihilated the bandits and discovered her. Cid proceeded to use her as a test subject for an experimental magical control procedure, which successfully cured her possession and restored her original form. In gratitude, Alpha pledged her life to him, and Cid, improvising a story about an evil cult, laid the foundation for his fantasy role-playing, which Alpha took as absolute truth.

This event became the starting point for the entire organization. Alpha dedicated herself to building Shadow Garden around the figure of Shadow, as she knows Cid. She began gathering others afflicted with Demon Possession, curing them using the method that saved her, and forming them into a formidable force. While Cid remains the symbolic and inspirational head, Alpha acts as the true operational commander, growing the organization from a grassroots effort into an economic and military superpower largely without his awareness. She is responsible for coordinating intelligence, strategy, and operations, commanding the respect of the other Seven Shadows and countless subordinates known as Numbers.

Alpha's personality is defined by a composed and elegant demeanor, which masks a profound and unwavering devotion to Cid. Her sole purpose is to eliminate the Cult of Diablos and to fulfill what she believes is Shadow's will. She treats the other members of the Seven Shadows as her family, showing them warmth and compassion. However, she is also uncompromisingly strict when it comes to the safety and ideals of Shadow Garden, and can be cold and contemptuous toward outsiders or those who lack ambition. Her absolute faith in Cid is also her greatest vulnerability; she depends on him emotionally and ideologically to such an extent that she can become deeply unstable if she feels abandoned or distanced from him. This dependence manifests as a fear of being a burden and a desperate desire to be useful to him, as well as subtle signs of jealousy towards other women who get close to him, such as Princess Alexia Midgar.

In terms of abilities, Alpha is exceptionally gifted. She is the strongest among the Seven Shadows, possessing immense magical reserves and top-tier swordsmanship that is second only to Cid himself. She developed her own derivative sword techniques based on Cid's original style, which she then structured into a teachable system disseminated throughout Shadow Garden. Her combat skills include the use of a slime bodysuit that can morph into weapons, the ability to negate the regeneration of monsters, and even the power to turn her body into a red mist for intangibility and sensory purposes. Beyond her physical prowess, she possesses a genius-level analytical intellect, which she uses to unravel the mysteries of the Cult of Diablos and to guide Shadow Garden's strategic decisions.

Despite her overwhelming competence, Alpha has a few charming flaws. She notably lacks talent in artistic fields; her piano playing produces bizarre, impossible pitches, and her clothing designs for the Mitsugoshi brand inexplicably feature odd animal motifs. These small weaknesses create an endearing contrast with her otherwise perfect image as a leader and warrior.
