TV-Series
Description
High Elf Archer is a Silver-ranked adventurer and a high elf who, despite her youthful and lively appearance, is actually over two thousand years old. She hails from a noble and ancient lineage, known as the Daughter of the Wind of Stars, and is the daughter of the chief of her elven clan. However, driven by a powerful curiosity and a desire for adventure, she chose to leave the safety of her secluded forest homeland, refusing to spend her long life hidden among the trees.

Her personality is marked by a spirited, playful, and sometimes impulsive nature. She is often described as cat-like: free, always ready to leap at something new, and unafraid to speak her mind. Despite her great age, she can display a surprising level of immaturity, with one of her companions, Dwarf Shaman, joking that she sometimes acts like a girl of only thirteen. She dislikes strict order and discipline, which contributes to her free-spirited behavior. Among her quirks are a very low tolerance for alcohol, becoming drunk after just a drink or two, and a tendency to spend all her money on small, intriguing trinkets or adventure stories, often leaving her broke. She also finds the human custom of wearing undergarments strange and generally does not bother with them.

Her primary motivation is the pursuit of what she considers a true adventure, complete with legendary treasures, forgotten kingdoms, and heroic tales. She frequently tries to negotiate with Goblin Slayer, using her agreement to hunt goblins as leverage to get him to join her on one of these more glamorous quests. However, her experiences fighting alongside him, particularly witnessing the brutal atrocities goblins commit, including the torture of other elves, have given her a deep personal hatred for them and a more mature appreciation for the necessity of his grim work.

In the story, she is a core member of the adventuring party, having originally formed a temporary party with Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest before joining forces with Goblin Slayer. She often serves as the party’s scout and ranged combat specialist, using her keen senses to spot enemies and traps from a distance. Her role also provides a contrast to Goblin Slayer’s grim pragmatism, as she frequently questions his single-minded obsession and tries to broaden his horizons.

Her key relationships are central to her development. She shares a bickering, competitive, but deeply trusting camaraderie with Dwarf Shaman, their arguments often reflecting ancient racial tensions between elves and dwarves. With Lizard Priest, she shares a lighthearted and mutually respectful friendship, playfully encouraging his dream of becoming a dragon. She acts as a warm, almost sisterly figure to Priestess, offering her guidance and sharing lighthearted moments with her. Her relationship with Goblin Slayer is complex. Initially, she looked down on him for his obsession and unkempt appearance, but after seeing his effectiveness in battle, she grew to respect him deeply. She affectionately calls him Orcbolg, a name in the elven tongue meaning little orc killer. While she often clashes with his methods, she becomes his staunch defender against outsiders and demonstrates a deep, unspoken affection for him, consistently choosing to remain by his side despite the danger and lack of glory.

Throughout the series, she undergoes significant development. She transitions from a sheltered noble seeking fame to a hardened guardian who endures dirt and hardship to protect her friends. Traumatic events, such as being captured by goblins in the sewers of Water Town, harden her resolve against them and erode her initial elitism. She learns to adapt her idealistic view of adventure with the harsh realities of her profession, all while maintaining her inherent cheerfulness. Her commitment to the party is solidified, culminating in moments like inviting them to her sister’s wedding in her elven homeland, where she reaffirms her intention to stay with the party, reasoning that the short lives of her human friends are too precious to spend anywhere else.

As an adventurer, she possesses exceptional archery skills, capable of feats such as curving arrows in mid-flight and shooting down two wyverns with a single arrow. Her great bow is crafted from yew wood and strung with tamed spider-silk, and her arrows are made from specially selected branches. While ranged combat is her specialty, she is also agile and capable in close quarters, using an obsidian dagger for self-defense. Her elven heritage grants her phenomenal senses, particularly her eyesight and hearing, which make her an invaluable asset for reconnaissance, trap detection, and eavesdropping. She is also adept at lockpicking, acrobatics, and scaling terrain, and she can communicate with animals.
