Description
Amit is a supporting character in the manga and anime series Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts. She is introduced as a princess from the reptile clan of the vassal state of Murga, specifically the sixth princess and the youngest daughter of King Caiman the Eleventh. Her initial purpose for arriving at the palace of the beast king Leonhart is to be a concubine candidate, a mission that she understands is a form of exile from her own country, as she was told she could not return unless she secured the king's affections.

In terms of appearance, Amit is a crocodile-like beast with pastel green skin and distinctive ruby red eyes. She is notably tall, with a listed height of 190 centimeters. Her typical attire consists of a white sleeveless gown paired with a burgundy overskirt. She accessorizes with a gold headdress from which a long white veil flows, a gold high-neck choker, a red amulet resting on her sternum, and thick gold bracelets on her arms.

Amit's personality is defined by a sharp contrast between her intimidating reptilian features and her gentle, kind-hearted nature. She is described as very shy and sweet, often becoming a flustered and blushing mess in situations that make her anxious or joyful. This contradiction has been noted as a key aspect of her charm, as she is a frightening-looking crocodile with a maidenly and supportive soul. She is also a very skilled baker and cook, frequently preparing sweets and pastries to share with her friends. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, and fortune-telling about love.

Amit's central motivation is her longstanding and unrequited love for Jormungand, the captain of the king's royal guard. She fell in love with him during his first visit to Murga when she was a child. At that time, she scraped her hand, and Jormungand wrapped his own scarf, which bore the king's seal, around her injury. Despite her status as a princess, she feels immense insecurity about her chances with him, believing that his world is too distant from her own. Her personal journey involves navigating these feelings and finding the courage to express them.

Within the story, Amit's role evolves from a potential rival for the king to one of Sariphi's most trusted friends and confidants. After being treated poorly by other noble beast princesses, she finds a genuine friend in Sariphi, who shows her kindness. When another princess, Vivian, physically attacks Sariphi, Amit bravely intervenes to protect her. As a reward for this act of loyalty, King Leonhart grants her special permission to stay in the palace not as a concubine candidate, but as Sariphi's official lady-in-waiting and companion. In this role, she provides invaluable support, using her education in administration to assist Sariphi with the growing responsibilities of a future queen.

Her key relationships are primarily with Sariphi, to whom she is a devoted and encouraging friend, and with Jormungand. She forms a group of friends that includes Sariphi and the small oracles Clops and Cy. Her relationship with Jormungand deepens over time. She eventually returns the scarf he gave her as a child, an act that leads to him remembering her. Their connection grows, and by the end of the series and into the sequel story White Rabbit and the Prince of Beasts, they become engaged and are eventually married.

Amit's character development is one of gaining self-confidence and finding her place. She arrives at the palace feeling unwanted and exiled, believing she is too plain and out of place among the other ladies. Through her friendship with Sariphi, who encourages her to not give up on her feelings, she learns to value herself. She transforms from a timid, exiled princess into a capable and loyal member of the royal household, secure in her role and her relationships.

In terms of notable abilities, Amit is distinguished by her mastery of culinary arts, particularly baking. She is often seen making sweets and pastries, using this skill as a way to show care for her friends. Beyond this, her primary strengths are her emotional intelligence, her fierce loyalty that leads her to physically defend a friend, and the administrative knowledge she applies as Sariphi's assistant.
