Description
Hibiki Shikyoin is a character from the second season of the anime PriPara. She is a first-year high school student and the grandchild of the chairman of Paprika Holdings, the organization that runs Paprika Academy. Before arriving in Parajuku, she had already established a successful career as a movie star in Europe, earning the title of "The Greatest Prince" after winning the Mr. Universe World Prince of the Year tournament. Hibiki presents a striking appearance with short, boyish silver hair and sharp, light green eyes. Her public persona is that of a charming, humble, and charismatic prince, which quickly makes her a celebrated figure at her new school.

Beneath this princely exterior, Hibiki is a complex individual. Her worldview is shaped by a childhood trauma where her friends abandoned her after mistakenly believing her family had lost their fortune. This experience led her to develop deep-seated trust issues and a fear that relationships are transactional and dependent on constant performance. Consequently, she became cynical about friendship and altruism, adopting a philosophy that only "geniuses" are worthy of success and leadership. She dismisses the series' central theme that "everyone is a friend and everyone is an idol," believing instead in a clear hierarchy based on talent and self-interest. Hibiki is highly intelligent, logical, and loves theatricality, coding, hacking, and the concept of "revolution". She is also mischievous and enjoys deceiving others, particularly regarding her gender, which she reveals during a live performance in PriPara.

Hibiki's primary motivation is to form the ultimate "Dream Team" of elite idols to perfect her own vision of PriPara, which she seeks to transform into a place called CelePara where only the best are allowed to perform. To this end, she invites Fuwari Midorikaze from the mountains of Palps to be a princess candidate. When Fuwari rejects the role after finding friendship with other idols, Hibiki coldly discards her, demonstrating her willingness to use people for her own agenda. She later takes on the alter ego of the "Phantom Thief Genius," a figure in a black cloak and mask, to steal other idols' coordinates and disrupt their performances. She handpicks other talented idols like Falulu, Sophy Hojo, and Sion Todo to be part of her team, forming the unit known as the CelePara Opera Company.

Her key relationships are central to her development. She has a significant connection with Ajimi Kiki, whose childhood antics and verbal tics caused Hibiki to cut off her signature curls and develop a violent phobia of sentence-ending verbal tics. Her butler, Andou, is a loyal supporter who assists her in her schemes. While initially an antagonist, Hibiki's interactions with the main characters, particularly Laala Manaka and the members of SoLaMi Dressing, lead to a gradual shift. Her elitist vision is challenged, and she eventually softens after events like the 24.5 Hour Live, which exposes her to the kindness and friendship she had rejected. This development culminates in her forming the unit Tricolore with Fuwari and Falulu, leaving for Europe with them, and later returning to PriPara as a protagonist rather than a villain.

In terms of abilities, Hibiki is a supremely talented idol, actor, model, and singer. She is a highly skilled performer and quickly achieves the rank of top idol, the highest level in PriPara. Her genius is not limited to performance; she is also technologically fluent, using her skills in coding and hacking to operate her "Thieving Genius" gadgets, such as a tommy gun for stealing coordinates or a camera disguised as a butterfly for spying. Her preferred brand is Brilliant Prince, and her charm type is "Celebrity" with yellow as her charm color.
