Oduni, identified in some cast listings as Oduni Ordu, is a supporting character in the anime film Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom. He is the chief of the Water Kingdom, the nation referred to as Country B in the story. The Water Kingdom is the poorer of the two neighboring realms, rich in water and greenery, while the Gold Kingdom is a prosperous commercial nation, and the two countries have long been rivals who quarrel over small matters. As the leader of the Water Kingdom, Oduni is tied to the political conflict at the heart of the story, in which a divine decree orders the two kingdoms to exchange their most beautiful woman and their wisest young man in marriage to preserve peace. The arranged union between Princess Saara of the Gold Kingdom and the architect Naranbayar of the Water Kingdom becomes the center of the film, and Oduni occupies a supporting role within these interkingdom events. In appearance, Oduni is an adult man with black eyes and black hair cut to ear length.
