Description
Halona Walker is a character from the later seasons of the anime Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress, appearing as a member of the antagonistic organization known as the Uniformers. She is a young girl with a distinct physical presence, standing at 170 cm or approximately five feet seven inches tall, with B blood type and a birthday on July 22nd. Despite her height, she is noted to be around twelve years of age, making her a notably tall and imposing figure for her age group.
On the surface, Halona possesses an innocent and cheerful personality, often presenting herself with a bright and friendly demeanor. This outward appearance, however, masks a more complex interior shaped by her past. She experienced a lonely childhood, finding it difficult to smile alongside others her own age or to share common interests with them. This deep-seated loneliness and desire for genuine connection became the driving force behind her actions and her fierce loyalty to the Uniformers. She was recruited into the organization by a figure named Gui, who offered her friendship and introduced her to the Uniformers program, giving her a place where she felt she belonged.
Halona is identified as the strongest fighter produced by the Uniformers Plan, having achieved the highest grades in the Uniformer training program. According to another character, Jinki Mukae, she is considered the most powerful fighter within the entire Uniformers organization, a testament to her prodigal skill and discipline. Her role within the story is primarily that of a rival and an antagonist, serving as a significant obstacle for the protagonists. One of her key functions is her relationship with Urara Haneyama. Halona initially befriended Urara with the purpose of recruiting her into the Uniformers, but over time, this calculated friendship developed into a genuine bond. She came to sincerely consider Urara a friend and wished for her to remain with or return to the Uniformers, even after Urara was freed from the organization's influence by the main protagonist, Yu-yu Kondo.
This relationship creates a central conflict for Halona. When Urara chooses not to return to the Uniformers, Halona reacts by seemingly dropping her cheerful persona, coldly dismissing Urara in an attempt to hide her true feelings. However, this coldness is later revealed to be a facade, a Jerkass Facade, as she secretly remains concerned about Urara and desires her friend to come back, even if she refuses to admit it openly. Her motivations are deeply rooted in proving the righteousness of the Uniformers and in reclaiming the friendship she feels she has lost. This culminates in a direct clash of wills, such as during a match at the foot of Mount Hakusan, where Halona aims to defeat Urara to validate the Uniformers' ideology, while Urara fights to win and re-establish a genuine friendship with her. Halona's notable abilities in cardfighting are formidable, reflecting her status as the organization's top ace and a product of their intensive training regime.
