Description
Gloria Ohkanda serves as the headmistress of Paprika Private Academy and initially appears as a primary obstacle in the lives of elementary school students. She physically presents with long, curled pale silver or gray hair swept to one side, complemented by golden eyes, red lipstick, and fuchsia eye makeup. Her typical attire consists of a purple dress with gold and white accents.

Her personality is defined by an extreme strictness and, at the outset, a staunch aversion to the concept of friendship. This uncompromising nature is demonstrated through her active prohibition of students from participating in the idol theme park PriPara. To enforce this ban, she uses a specialized vacuum cleaner named Rina to sniff out and confiscate PriTickets, the necessary passes for entry, demonstrating a remarkably keen sense of smell and a persistent, almost obsessive dedication to her cause. Despite her intimidating and severe demeanor, which frightens students from other schools, she possesses a gullible side.

The primary motivation behind her anti-PriPara campaign stems from a personal, long-held misunderstanding regarding a broken promise from her own past as an idol. In her youth, she attended PriPara under the nickname Sugar and formed a close bond with a teammate named Himeka Manaka. She believed Himeka broke a promise to meet outside of the PriPara venue, an event that led to her feeling abandoned and subsequently developing a deep-seated animosity toward the world of idols and the friendships formed there. This misunderstanding is eventually resolved, revealing that the two simply did not recognize each other due to their changed appearances inside the PriPara system.

Following this revelation, Gloria undergoes a significant character transformation. She lifts the ban on PriPara and reconciles with Himeka, finally recognizing her past mistake. This turning point marks her shift from an antagonist to a supportive figure for the main characters. She even develops romantic feelings for a staff member named Meganii Akai. Her own abilities as an idol are later confirmed; she is known as a Celeb-type idol, and her personal catchphrase is "dessu wa."
