Description
In the narrative of As the Gods Will, a character referred to as Homeless appears in the final stages of the deadly games, emerging from an unexpected location separate from the main school building where the majority of the struggles take place. This individual is initially an unassuming figure, living on the streets and seemingly disconnected from the high-stakes survival challenges confronting the student protagonists. However, his role proves to be fundamental to the entire scenario, as he is ultimately revealed to be the true God orchestrating the events. This revelation positions him not as a player or a mere observer, but as the ultimate authority and the final answer to the characters' questions about who is responsible for their ordeals. He possesses supernatural capabilities that set him apart from every other character, using his power not to directly compete in the games but to oversee and perhaps judge the participants from a hidden vantage point. While his direct interactions are limited to the climax, his presence serves as the narrative's explanation for the existence of the lethal children's games, suggesting that an omnipotent, divine force has been watching from a peripheral, humble existence all along.
