Description
Jelba Gudan serves as the captain of the Ganonda-class space carrier Labrokov, which is the flagship of the Border Patrol Fleet 584. He boasts a distinguished and illustrious military career, but his life and circumstances change dramatically upon the arrival of a political officer named Boloros. During a battle against the Dezarium fleet in Earth's sphere, all of his companion ships are sunk. He subsequently suffers a defeat at the hands of the Earth fleet in the Garman star system. He is captured by the Garman-Gamilas Empire and is forcibly brought along on General Ram's perilous audience with the leadership. Even while his ship is under repair, he is compelled to participate in the attack on Digabras.

Gudan is portrayed as a man who is constantly pushed around by Boloros, and his days become filled with hardship and exhaustion. Despite this turmoil, his defining personality trait is his stoic silence and professionalism. He does not speak about unnecessary matters or voice complaints. Instead, he buries everything deep within himself and calmly, methodically continues to carry out his duties without outward complaint. His role in the story is that of a seasoned, war-weary commander whose disciplined career is upended by political interference and a string of military misfortunes. His key relationship is with the political officer Boloros, who serves as the catalyst for the drastic and negative changes in Gudan's previously stable military command. He also has a crucial association with General Ram, whom he is forced to follow on a dangerous mission. Development for Gudan appears centered on his endurance and silent resilience in the face of constant defeat and political manipulation, highlighting a character who remains committed to his duty no matter the circumstances. Notable abilities are not explicitly described, but his position as a fleet flagship captain implies significant command experience and competence, even if his recent engagements have ended in failure.
