Description
Wilkins manages the Earl of Dorincourt's stables and territorial estate, maintaining the grounds and overseeing all horses—including the Earl's mount Searim and Cedric's white horse Little Prince. His deep understanding of aristocratic customs positions him as a disciplinarian who rigorously schools Cedric in noble protocols and decorum. Stern and serious, Wilkins demands unwavering adherence to rules. Yet beneath this rigidity lies genuine concern for Cedric, whom he comforts after the boy's father dies to ease his transition into aristocratic life. Wilkins bridges Cedric's natural kindness with the formal expectations of his rank, aiding his societal integration. Loyal to the Earl, his steadfast presence shapes Cedric's grasp of duty and family bonds. Notably, he shields Cedric from repercussions when the boy accidentally calls a palace guard a "doll," revealing his protective instincts.
