Live-Action TV
Description
The character known as Bakkyusai Actor does not appear in the anime adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin, including the film Rurouni Kenshin Part II: Kyoto Inferno. This character is exclusive to the 2014 live-action film of the same name, where it is a minor role with a very specific and brief appearance.

In the live-action film, the Bakkyusai Actor appears during a theatrical play that serves as a comedic interlude. The scene features a parody of the main character, Himura Kenshin. The actor portraying this parody version is made to look like a kabuki actor, wearing a large, frizzy red wig and white face paint. The signature cross-shaped scar on Kenshin's left cheek is recreated as a scar shaped like the kanji for the number nine, which is pronounced kyuu. This visual pun leads to a humorous mispronunciation of Kenshin's infamous assassin title, Hitokiri Battousai, turning it into Hitokiri Bakyuusai. This altered name is the direct source of the character's label as the Bakkyusai Actor.

Given the nature of the role, there is no developed background, personality, or motivations for this character. The actor's sole function is to perform in this short, self-contained parody scene. Consequently, the role does not have any meaningful relationships with other characters, nor does it undergo any development or possess any notable abilities beyond the performance itself. The appearance is purely a brief moment of levity within the larger narrative of the live-action film and has no connection to the plot or characters of the original anime series.
