OVA
Description
Radium Levans anchors the *Zone of the Enders* narrative across the OVA *2167 Idolo* and the anime *Dolores, I*. As a lieutenant in the Martian military BAHRAM, he pilots Phantoma LEVs fueled by deep resentment toward Earth's inhabitants (Earthers), stemming from their oppressive physical advantages and cultural prejudice. This hatred drives his commitment to Martian independence. Radium exhibits a reckless, near-suicidal combat style in simulations. He shares a close bond with comrade Viola Gyune, whom he recruited, and a romantic relationship with Dolores Hayes, assistant to Orbital Frame researcher Dr. Rachel Links.

Selected as test pilot for the Metatron-powered Orbital Frame prototype Idolo, Radium bonds uniquely with the autonomous machine, which rejects others like Viola. Prolonged Metatron exposure triggers psychological deterioration, amplifying his aggression and inducing hallucinations. This "Metatron poisoning" transforms him into a sadistic killer, brutally assaulting a captured Earth spy during a demonstration. When Earth forces (UNSF) kidnap Dr. Links and Dolores, Radium pursues them to Deimos Station. Dolores dies shielding Dr. Links. Idolo activates an auto-combat mode in response to Radium's anguish, projecting a hallucination of Dolores to pacify him. Within this delusion, Radium marries Dolores in a church ceremony, unaware of the real battle where combined BAHRAM and UNSF forces destroy Idolo. Radium is presumed killed.

He resurfaces in *Dolores, I* under the alias Napth Pleminger, resurrected as a cyborg with Metatron prosthetics by BAHRAM. Inheriting the Pleminger estate, he poses as a wealthy businessman and arms dealer. Radium adopts three Martian orphans—Rebecca, Axel, and Rully—indoctrinating them against Earthers. His cybernetic enhancements grant superior strength, overpowering the Earther Baan Dorfloum. Commanding the Orbital Frame Hathor, he orchestrates BAHRAM operations with detached efficiency. Learning an Orbital Frame bears his lover's name, Dolores, triggers violent rage. He attacks UNSF facilities to lure it into combat, confronts Dr. Links, and declares his intent to destroy Earth's Orbital Elevator and exterminate its population. In the final battle against James Links (Dr. Links' husband) piloting Dolores, Radium experiences another chapel hallucination, attacking a vision of Viola (representing Rebecca) for "meddling" in his reunion with Dolores. Defeated, Radium sacrifices himself, merging Hathor's energy with Dolores to stabilize the Orbital Elevator. He dies smiling as his Metatron implants deactivate.

Recurring delusions, often centered on Dolores, reflect Radium's inability to process loss and descent into madness. His name appears inconsistently: Viola calls him "Radam" in the *Zone of the Enders* game, while *Idolo* and *Dolores, I* use "Radium".
