Description
Female Maze originates as Mei Ikaruga from the real world, becoming known as Maze upon entering a chaotic fantasy realm. She arrives with partial amnesia, recalling only her first name. Her crashing house accidentally saves Princess Mill from pursuers, forging an immediate protective bond. Maze acts as Mill's guardian against threats like the Jaina Holy Group.

Maze shares a single body with her brother, Akira Ikaruga, undergoing a daily magical gender transformation. By day, Maze exists in her female form with Mei's consciousness dominant. By night, she transforms into a male with Akira's personality in control. The two consciousnesses remain mutually aware; the female form often protests the male's aggressive or lecherous actions within their shared mind. This duality stems from a taboo romantic relationship in their real-world past, which caused their fusion and displacement into the fantasy realm.

Initially, female Maze is pacifistic and reserved, contrasting sharply with her male counterpart's combativeness. She possesses potent "phantom light" magical abilities but struggles to wield them effectively in her female form. Her combat proficiency increases significantly when piloting the Demi-Armor mecha Dulgar, though she remains less capable than the male Maze.

Across her journey, Maze gradually recovers fragmented memories of her past and her purpose. Identified as "the Eraser," she is destined to correct a dimensional imbalance and confront the Creator, an ancestral figure sharing her gender-shifting nature. Maze evolves from confusion and reluctance to acceptance of her dual existence. Ultimately, she chooses to remain permanently in the fantasy world with her brother, rejecting a return to their original reality. This decision solidifies their commitment to each other and their new roles protecting Mill's kingdom.

Female Maze shares mutual devotion with Princess Mill, though Mill expresses romantic interest that Maze does not overtly reciprocate. She interacts with companions like the lesbian warrior Solude, who shows attraction to her, and the fairy Randy, who often hides in her clothing for safety. These experiences foster a sense of belonging, countering her initial isolation.

Restored memories reveal the depth of her bond with Akira, contextualizing their fusion as both a curse and a source of strength. This history fuels her resolution to defend the fantasy world alongside him, embracing their shared identity as Maze permanently.
