TV-Series
Description
Kou is a civet cat who lives in the same forest community as the other characters and is widely regarded as a reliable older-brother figure. He is a caring individual the townspeople lean on, quick to offer help but also quick to anger and sometimes a little disrespectful in his bluntness. Despite this, he genuinely wants the best for his friends and has a habit of meddling in the relationship between Nowa and Airi; the creator specifically noted that Kou plays a pivotal role in helping the two of them move forward. Beneath that confident, nosy exterior, Kou struggles to be honest about his own feelings, a trait that complicates his personal life. His closest bond is with Watari, a raven, and their dynamic eventually receives more focus as the story progresses, exploring the difficulty Kou has with acknowledging his own emotions. Physically, he is described as the shortest of the main characters, and his birthday is August 7th. Throughout the narrative Kou transitions from an outside helper who nudges the central couple toward resolution to someone who must confront his own emotional guardedness, especially in his developing connection with Watari.
