Description
Miku Naruse is the female protagonist of episode four of the anime Eternity: Shinya no Nurekoi Channel. She is a young woman from Japan who moves to New York City with the dream of becoming an actress. To support herself while pursuing that goal, she applies for a secretarial position at a major corporation. During the interview, she learns that the company is actually looking for a woman to pose as the fake fiancée of Dieter August Kitayama, the half-Japanese German CEO. The position offers an unusually high salary, which motivates Miku to accept the arrangement despite the unusual terms.
Miku is portrayed as ambitious and pragmatic. She is willing to take on a deceptive role to secure financial stability while she works toward her acting career. Her personality is marked by a strong sense of independence and adaptability, as she navigates both the unfamiliar environment of New York and the demanding pretense of a romantic relationship with a powerful stranger. She is not initially interested in romance, viewing the engagement as a job, but over time she develops genuine feelings for Dieter.
In the story, Miku’s role is that of a struggling artist who enters a transactional relationship that gradually becomes authentic. Her key relationship is with Dieter, whose own reasons for needing a fake fiancée involve personal or professional pressures. Their dynamic shifts from a business arrangement to a mutual emotional connection, forming the emotional core of the episode. Miku’s development involves learning to trust and open up to someone, moving beyond her initial self-reliance and career-focused mindset.
Notable abilities include her acting skills, which she uses to convincingly play the part of a devoted fiancée, and her resourcefulness in adapting to high-stakes social situations. She has long brown hair and purple eyes.
