Description
Akane Nonohara is a sixteen-year-old idol affiliated with 765 Production, standing 150 centimeters tall with a birthday of December 3rd. She is a self-proclaimed cute idol who often refers to herself in the third person as Akane-chan and has a habit of giving nicknames to those around her, such as calling the producer Pro-chan. Her outward personality is overwhelmingly loud, energetic, and prone to rapid-fire dialogue. She is known for being a mood maker who rarely seems to read the atmosphere, which sometimes leads to her being labeled as annoyingly cute. However, this behavior is not simply a lack of awareness; it is a deliberate attempt to lighten the mood and make others smile. Akane is actually very capable of reading a room and uses her high energy and comedic antics to help people forget their worries, as she dislikes seeing her friends feeling down.

Beneath her noisy exterior, Akane possesses a profound love for making people happy. She has shown genuine care for her fellow idols and considers everyone in the agency to be irreplaceable, though she finds expressing this sentiment directly to be embarrassing. Her actions are often driven by an initiative to bring joy to others, sometimes leading to ambitious but poorly planned projects. One of her most notable trademarks is a line of mascot dolls created in her own image. She has a history of mass-producing these dolls, once attempting to sell specially designed versions for one hundred different towns, a project that comically backfired. She often leaves these dolls around the theater, claiming they only appear to those seeking happiness.

In the narrative of the anime, Akane acts as a scene-stealing source of comic relief. Her chaotic energy is amplified by the animation medium, allowing her to run freely across the screen and deliver rapid-fire commentary that captures the audience's attention. In one instance, she orders self-made sticker goods on her own without permission, embarrassing the office manager. In another, she seizes control of a live broadcast to provide non-stop commentary, causing her personal channel's subscriber count to skyrocket before the channel is confiscated by the agency. Her proactive nature often gets her into trouble, such as when she jumps to conclusions and spreads unconfirmed information to all the other idols, but her intentions are rarely malicious. Her key relationships often involve her being reined in by the more serious members of the group, though she shares a friendly and familiar bond with the producer, whom she often tries to impress or tease.

Despite her seemingly airheaded personality, Akane is surprisingly intelligent and quick-witted. She is an adept improviser, once using ad-libbed segments like puppet shows and quizzes to successfully fill time during a debut event when a critical shipment of CDs was delayed. She is also highly sensitive to the feelings of those around her. On one occasion, she advised an anxious friend not to force herself to endure her nerves alone, revealing that even Akane herself gets nervous, and that she chooses to be cheerful because she wants others to cheer for her. Her notable abilities include inline skating and skipping, and she incorporates cat-like mannerisms into her persona, often making a cat-inspired smile and throwing random nya sounds into her speech. This cat motif reflects her free-spirited nature, and she is occasionally depicted with cat ears or paws. Furthermore, she possesses a meta-awareness that allows her to break the fourth wall, making comments about game mechanics as if she is aware she is in a video game.
