Description
The King of Aquafa is the ruler of a nation that has been conquered by the neighboring Empire of Zol. Following a devastating war that his kingdom lost, he publicly presents himself as a compliant collaborator. He has surrendered most of Aquafa's territory and professes loyalty to the Zol occupiers in order to maintain an uneasy peace and a semblance of his throne. This outward subservience, however, is a carefully maintained facade.
Privately, the King is the secret mastermind behind the Aquafan resistance movement. His primary motivation is the liberation of his kingdom and the restoration of its full sovereignty, a goal he pursues with ruthless pragmatism. To achieve this, he adopts a strategy of asymmetric warfare, weaponizing the deadly mittsual plague, also known as Black Wolf Fever. Believing that the disease selectively afflicts only the Zol people as a form of divine punishment, he orchestrates its resurgence. The King is directly responsible for engineering attacks using infected wolves, including a devastating outbreak at a Zol-controlled salt mine and an assault on a falconry expedition that leaves the Zolian viceroy, Utalu, gravely wounded.
