Description
Hinata Kuraue is a 15-year-old high school student with black hair, standing 155 cm tall and weighing 47 kg. Her birthday is November 11, and she has blood type A. Energetic and sociable, she often shares lighthearted or obscure jokes. Her deep love for mountains and mountaineering stems from childhood adventures with her father, Ken'ichi Kuraue, an experienced climber, though her own skills remain at a beginner level.

Upon reuniting with her childhood friend Aoi Yukimura in high school, Hinata persistently encourages Aoi to return to climbing. This mission is fueled by their shared memory of witnessing a sunrise from Mount Tanigawa, which Hinata hopes to recreate. She continues inviting Aoi despite Aoi’s fear of heights and preference for indoor activities after a playground accident, gradually helping her rediscover the outdoors.

Hinata’s mountaineering circle grows: she befriends Kaede Saitō, a knowledgeable upperclassman; Kokona Aoba, a middle schooler met on a trail; and Honoka Kurosaki, a photographer encountered on Mount Tanigawa. She frequently joins group climbs across mountains like Mount Tenran, Takao, Mitake, and Akagi. Though generally supportive, she occasionally shows jealousy—such as when Aoi bonds closely with Honoka—revealing her emotional vulnerabilities.

Her social awareness deepens over time. During a Valentine’s Day hike at Mount Mitake, she notices Honoka’s wish to spend time with Kokona and deliberately creates space for them. She also reflects on childhood moments with Aoi, including revisiting a handmade accessory stored in a treasure box, underscoring their lasting friendship.

Later, she supports Aoi’s renewed resolve to climb Mount Fuji after a prior attempt caused altitude sickness. Hinata encourages group activities, like testing snowshoes during a winter climb led by Mountaineering Club president Koharu Senjuin. She works part-time at "Susuki" cake shop alongside Aoi and Hikari Onozuka, an energetic college student.

Evolving further, Hinata becomes more attuned to group dynamics, fostering connections among friends—such as facilitating Kokona and Honoka’s growing bond. She balances her enthusiastic approach to mountaineering with a maturing understanding of her companions’ individual struggles and goals.
