Description
Ayumi Sakagami is a 14 year old middle school student who becomes the temporary hero known as Cure Echo. She lives in Yokohama and has a history of moving frequently due to her father's job, which has left her feeling isolated and struggling to form lasting friendships. As a result, Ayumi is characterized by her shy and introverted nature, lacking the confidence to speak with her classmates and often spending her time alone.
Ayumi is a passionate admirer of the Pretty Cure heroes, though her timid personality prevents her from sharing this interest with others. Her life changes dramatically when she discovers a small, mysterious yellow creature whom she names Fuu-chan. Unaware that Fuu-chan is actually a fragment of a former villain called Fusion, Ayumi forms a deep and loving bond with him, cherishing him as her first real friend. This relationship becomes the central motivation for her actions, driving her to protect him and to desperately try to communicate her true feelings to him when his destructive nature is revealed.
Ayumi's role in the story is that of an ordinary girl who, through her powerful desire to save her friend, unlocks the potential to become a Pretty Cure herself.
