Description
Aoi Inuyama is a founding member of the Outdoor Activities Club at Motosu High School, which she started with her childhood friend Chiaki Ōgaki. She has a calm, grounded personality and often acts as a voice of reason among her friends, though she also has a playful habit of inventing tall tales or exaggerating stories for amusement. This tendency is a family trait, and her friends can tell when she is lying because her eyes dart to the side or her irises seem to vanish. She speaks with a noticeable Kansai dialect, which she traces to her birthplace in Inuyama. Her appearance includes distinctive thick eyebrows that remain visible beneath hats, a sharp fang that shows when she smiles or speaks, chest-length greenish-brown hair fading to a lighter shade at the ends and usually styled in a left-sided ponytail secured with a purple hair tie, and olive-green eyes. For outdoor excursions, she wears a grey-and-white scarf, a light-blue sweater over a dark-blue shirt, a multicolored skirt, and brown boots, switching to the standard female school uniform during classes. Aoi works part-time as a cashier at the Zebra Shop supermarket to fund club trips, and she is skilled at cooking, particularly dishes from the Kansai region. She shares a close bond with her younger sister Akari, and her grandmother Mineko influenced her name. Her birthday is March 4, which she shares with her clubmate Nadeshiko Kagamihara. Chiaki nicknamed her Inuko. Ten years after high school, as shown in the Laid-Back Camp movie, Aoi works as an elementary school teacher at Fujikawa Elementary in Yamanashi Prefecture, where her students call her Aoi-chan. When Chiaki starts a project to redevelop an abandoned site into a campsite, Aoi helps with scheduling and proposes creating a dedicated children’s area. After the project is suspended, she salvages old tires from her former school to use in that area. By this time, she has obtained a driver’s license and drives a Honda N-one.
