Description
Anrokuzan is the alias used by the rogue Sunagakure missing-nin originally named Mukade, who serves as the main antagonist of the film. His background begins as a seemingly unremarkable and physically weak criminal from the present era, whose sole notable technique involved manipulating a seal to access a powerful, ancient chakra flow known as the Ryūmyaku. Upon triggering this power, he was transported twenty years into the past, arriving six years before the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki. Seizing this opportunity to reshape history, he abandoned his former identity, adopted the name Anrokuzan, and infiltrated the prosperous city of Rōran.

In the past, Anrokuzan presents a vastly different appearance from his sickly former self, having gained considerable weight and donning the long red robes and liturgical hat of a high-ranking official. This external transformation mirrors his new position as the manipulative Minister of Rōran. His personality is defined by arrogance, cruelty, and an obsessive hunger for power. He is a master of deception, presenting a fatherly and trustworthy facade to the young queen, Sāra, while concealing his tyrannical true nature. He believes himself to be superior and, after gaining access to the Ryūmyaku's power, becomes convinced of his own invincibility and immortality, constantly taunting his enemies. When confronted by Naruto, who calls him by his original name, he proudly rejects it, asserting his identity as the minister of Rōran.

Anrokuzan's primary motivation is to conquer the Five Great Shinobi Countries and the world. To achieve this, he needs to harness the limitless energy of the Ryūmyaku to power a massive "Puppet Ninja Force". His role in the story is that of the evil chancellor who has secretly taken control of Rōran. He systematically eliminates anyone who stands in his way, including the previous queen, Sēramu, after she discovered his true intentions. He then keeps her daughter, Sāra, as a "puppet queen," manipulating her into cooperating by maintaining the illusion that she is ruling justly. Unbeknownst to her, he has also abducted the city's male population and forced them into slave labor to construct his puppet army.

His key relationships are all transactional and exploitative. He sees Queen Sāra as nothing more than a useful pawn and cruelly reveals that he murdered her mother when she is no longer compliant. His true opposition comes from Naruto Uzumaki, who arrives from the future, and a young Minato Namikaze (the future Fourth Hokage), who is in Rōran on a mission. Anrokuzan's development is not one of redemption but of escalating monstrousness. As he gains more power, his physical form becomes increasingly inhuman. He modifies his own body into a human puppet, and when his plans are threatened, he transforms into a giant spider-like puppet and ultimately fuses with his entire army to become a colossal, centipede-like mechanical terror.

Anrokuzan possesses a wide array of formidable abilities, all greatly enhanced by his connection to the Ryūmyaku's infinite chakra supply. As a master of the Puppet Technique, he can use chakra threads to control hundreds of puppets simultaneously, as well as manipulate people against their will. His own body is a deadly puppet, granting him immense strength and the ability to extend weapons like drill-tipped spears and scythe-like blades. The Ryūmyaku's energy makes him virtually immortal, granting him unlimited stamina and instantaneous regeneration, allowing him to repair any damage done to his mechanical body without delay. In his ultimate form, a massive centipede, he can absorb chakra-based attacks, including the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, fire powerful purple flames, and crush his opponents with his sheer size. His only weakness is the Ryūmyaku itself; when Queen Sāra seals the chakra source, his regeneration stops, leaving him vulnerable to a combined attack from Naruto and Minato, the Supreme Ultimate Rasengan, which finally destroys him.
