Description
Liu Bei Gundam is the central protagonist of SD Gundam Sangokuden Brave Battle Warriors. He hails from Rousou Village, located in the northern region of Yuushuu on the continent of Mirisha. He is the successor of Ryuutei, the legendary Dragon Emperor who once ruled all of Mirisha, and carries the soul of that sovereign within his bloodline. He studied under the scholar Roshoku and is a junior fellow disciple of the warrior Kousonsan.
Liu Bei possesses a passionate and righteous personality. He is driven by a strong sense of justice and cannot tolerate evil, standing up to any oppressor without fear. Despite his noble lineage and unwavering principles, he is described as a cheerful and warm-hearted youth who cares deeply for children and the common people. His righteous spirit and compassion naturally draw other warriors to his cause, inspiring loyalty and gathering a growing number of allies around him.
His primary motivation is to protect the people of Mirisha from tyranny and chaos. He believes in justice for the people and seeks to restore peace to the land, which often puts him at odds with those who seek power through force or cruelty.
In the story, Liu Bei begins as a young warrior from a small village. His journey truly begins when he encounters Kan-u Gundam and Chouhi Gundam. Recognizing their shared values and aspirations, the three of them swear a solemn oath of brotherhood in the Peach Garden, forming an unbreakable bond. Together, they fight against bandits and tyrants, eventually joining the coalition to oppose the tyrannical ruler Toutaku. He first meets Sousou Gundam during the battle at Korou Fortress, and while they fight on the same side against Toutaku, they experience a minor clash due to their conflicting ideals about how to achieve peace. After witnessing the fall of Ryofu Tallgeese during the battle with Toutaku, Liu Bei is overwhelmed with rage and defeats Toutaku using the power of the Tengyokugai known as Souryuu. Following this victory, he declines an offer to join Sousou's army and instead chooses to continue his travels, seeking his own path.
