Description
Kotaro Nogami is a character from the Kamen Rider franchise who appears in the film OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders. He hails from the future and is the grandson of Ryotaro Nogami, the original Kamen Rider Den-O. Growing up inspired by stories of his grandfather's heroic adventures protecting the timeline, Kotaro is a Singularity Point, granting him a unique existence independent of the normal flow of time. He forms a contract with the Imagin Teddy, allowing him to transform into Kamen Rider New Den-O.

As a person, Kotaro is a capable, determined, and courageous young man. He carries the weight of his family legacy with a strong sense of duty and pride. Unlike his grandfather, who frequently relied on the possession of his Imagin partners to fight, Kotaro prefers a more direct, self-reliant approach to his mission, acting as the primary force in his Rider form. His core motivation is to protect history from the machinations of time-altering monsters and to continue the work of his grandfather.

In the film, Kotaro and Teddy arrive on the DenLiner to pursue Mole Imagin. He teams up with Kamen Rider OOO, Eiji Hino, and the Imagin Momotaros to travel back to 1971. When an oversight allows the evil organization Shocker to take over the world, Kotaro becomes deeply involved in the plan to undo the altered timeline. He fights alongside an alliance of legendary Kamen Riders from the past and present to defeat the Shocker Greeed and the Great Leader of Shocker. His strategic insight and combat prowess are vital to the success of their mission.

His most foundational relationship is with his grandfather Ryotaro, whose legacy he upholds and embodies. His contract with Teddy is one of mutual trust and deep loyalty, with Teddy supporting him in combat and acting as a close confidant. He also works closely with the eccentric Owner of the DenLiner and the Taros, who treat him with respect as the successor to the Den-O title. In the film, he builds a strong working partnership with Eiji Hino, relying on teamwork across different eras to fix the damaged timeline.

By the time of this film, Kotaro has already grown from a boy inspired by legacy into a confident and experienced hero. He demonstrates his capability by seamlessly working with veteran Riders. As a Singularity Point, he cannot be erased from existence by timeline alterations. As Kamen Rider New Den-O, he wields his own set of Rider abilities and weapons, accessing multiple forms to execute powerful finisher attacks while maintaining full control over his own body and actions.
