Description
Kamen Rider Birth appears in the film OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders as part of the ensemble of Kamen Riders who join the battle against the Great Leader of Shocker. In this film, the user of the Birth system is Akira Date, a former combat medic who traveled the world and once crossed paths with Eiji Hino in Africa. Date has a pragmatic yet heroic drive, as he uses the Birth system to earn a large sum of money for a life-saving surgery to remove a bullet lodged in his brain. Beyond this personal motivation, he is a capable and experienced fighter, committed to using the technology at his disposal to protect others and fight against the evil organization Shocker, which has taken over the world in an alternate timeline.
Within the film's story, Birth stands alongside the other main Riders, including Kamen Rider OOO, Kamen Rider Den-O, and Kamen Rider New Den-O, in the final confrontation against the colossal Great Leader Colossus. Date's role is primarily in the climactic battle sequence, where he is one of the many Riders who arrive to reinforce the main characters. He participates in the All Rider Break, a massive coordinated attack using Rider Machines to destroy the Great Leader. As the secondary Rider from the Kamen Rider OOO television series, his presence in this anniversary film signifies the inclusion of the current era of Riders alongside those from the Showa and Heisei periods.
The Kamen Rider Birth system is a powerful suit of armor developed by the Kougami Foundation and created by Dr. Maki. Its power is derived from Cell Medals, which are inserted into the Birth Driver to initiate transformation and summon various weapons. The Birth suit itself stands 199 centimeters tall and weighs 92 kilograms, with a punching power of 3.5 tons and a kicking power of 8 tons. Its primary weapon is the Birth Buster, a gun that converts Cell Medals into energy bullets and can perform a powerful special attack called the Cell Burst. The most notable feature of the Birth system is the Birth CLAWs, a set of modular attachments that can be summoned at the cost of Cell Medals. These include the Cutter Wings for flight and slicing attacks, the Breast Cannon for heavy artillery, the Shovel Arm and Drill Arm for close-quarters combat, the Crane Arm for grappling and collecting medals, and the Caterpillar Legs for enhanced mobility. Birth can also deploy all six CLAWs units simultaneously in a configuration known as Birth Day, which allows for the powerful Cell Bash attack. The system was originally designed with a self-destruct function, but this was later disabled. While the details of his specific relationships within this film are not extensively explored due to the large cast, Akira Date as Kamen Rider Birth fights alongside his fellow Riders as a reliable ally in the battle to restore the proper timeline.
