Movie
Description
Momont is the mayor of Eindoak Town and a descendant of the People of the Vale, the ancient civilization that once ruled the region around the Sword of the Vale castle. He is deeply knowledgeable about the town’s history, including the legend of Victini, the Dragon Force energy, and the war between Reshiram and Zekrom that caused the kingdom’s downfall. He owns and operates a farm estate on the outskirts of town, which reflects his connection to the land and his role as a community leader. Momont is calm, authoritative, and dedicated to preserving Eindoak’s traditions. During the harvest festival, he delivers a speech and uses his trio of Pokémon—Klink, Klang, and Klinklang—to operate a large musical machine that accompanies the festivities. His primary role in the story is that of an informant: when Ash and his friends arrive, Momont explains the history of the Sword of the Vale, the protective barrier that traps Victini, and the danger of moving the castle. He does not directly participate in the conflict with Damon, but his knowledge is essential for the protagonists to understand how to save Victini and stop the Dragon Force from destroying the world. His key relationship is with Juanita, another descendant of the People of the Vale, and through her he is indirectly linked to Damon and Carlita. Momont does not undergo any personal development during the film; he remains a steady, reliable figure who supports the heroes from the sidelines. His notable abilities are limited to his deep historical expertise and his mechanical skill with his Klink family Pokémon, which he uses purely for festive purposes rather than battle. He represents the guardian of Eindoak’s cultural memory and the voice of caution against repeating past mistakes.
